Hey, don’t cry, cut up a good amount of bacon and start cooking it in a cast iron pan, bottle the grease and leave a few tablespoons in the pan, cut up a few cups of onions, like 1.5 more onions than you did bacon. Caramelize them. Add a spoonful of brown sugar, half a spoonful of chili powder if you want it spicy, a punch of apple cider vinegar to give it a lil sludge, and a little bit of syrup and mix. Add the cooked bacon and mix together. Use as a dipping sauce, or on top of bread, or in a sandwich, or whatever whacky idea you have for it
