Timelapse: One Year in a Forest’s Life

When Lisa Ryder's daughter saw Lands' End's newest collection of science-themed t-shirts, she wanted one right away. But when it turned out that Lands' End only offered the science shirts for boys, she was crestfallen. So, on July 11, Ryder posted on Lands’ End’s Facebook page, expressing her disappointment with the retailer’s perpetration of restrictive gender roles.

Ryder’s post caught Lands’ End attention. The retailer responded to her post right away on Facebook, and, on July 30, the company released a design for a girls’ science-themed t-shirt on their website.
