Today: Favourite Skating Program That Went Viral
Jason Brown / Riverdance / 2013/2014 season, here: 2014 US National Championships
I don’t know how many people would consider this programme viral, but when I first got into figure skating, the vast majority of articles I saw were about Jason Brown’s Riverdance. I loved it when I first saw it and because of it I became a very enthusiastic fan of Jason’s.

Story time
So back then in 2014 when I was one week away from home to spend my winter holidays in a training camp I was offered to go swimming or to go to a spinning room. (Un)fortunately, I was injured and I wouldn't have risked that the chlorine might make it worse so I chose the second option. We entered the spinning room with a few other ones who couldn't go swimming and there was this extraterrestial huge TV screen showing the Olympics 2014. After I cycled for a while, the ski jumping team competition began and this was pretty much the first time that I got in touch with wintersport in TV on such a level of awareness. Maybe it was because ski jumping was "my" first kind of winter sports or the fact that the team representing my home country won, but ever since then I was so amazed by it and this fascination has been lasting for almost 4 years. And just think what would I be doing now if I didn't had to choose between swimming and cycling - I'd probably be one of these guys saying that ski jumping could never be seen as a real sport. Luckily, I'm not.

[ad_1] NASA Goes to the Olympics! The Black Sea resort of Sochi, Russia, is the warmest city ever to host the Winter Olympic Games, which open on Feb. 7, 2014, and run through Feb. 23. This north-looking image, acquired on Jan. 4, 2014, by the Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) instrument on NASA’s Terra spacecraft, shows the Sochi Olympic Park Coastal Cluster…
