Dear people, I understand you want or need to curse a bitch , I really do but please take in a smiggen of concern for your local wildlife and planet when you bury or throw things in water ways or lakes. Please make your curse items as biodegradable as possible and don't use things that could kill yourself or damage your local ecosystem.
Please signal boost this. It is a big concern of mine that I am trying more recently to act upon to make magic effective and yet still safe for the environment .
Please be considerate. Have a badass day and may your curses hit their mark.-Jynx
Apparently some folks don’t follow the Rede. The worst I will wish on people in a magical working is for them to ‘reap what they sow” and ask for justice. When you come with unclean hands to someone like Sekhmet, be prepared to be slapped down hard.
Ancient egyptians rountinely cursed people and things why would sekhmet dislike that? Bast and Khnum have no problem with cursing.

Yeah, this sounds completely wrong about Sekhmet. satsekhem, thoughts?
A lot of people don’t follow the Rede and the Rede, frankly, has absolutely nothing to do with Sekhmet. Like Sekhmet has been around for thousands of years and the Rede is like, what, 50 years old? Forcing any deity like Sekhmet within the narrow confines of the Wiccan rede is problematic.
That being said, dirty hands are part and parcel of upholding ma'at. Wars were considered in keeping with it; disease was considered in keeping with it; execrations, which can best be defined as sympathetic magic versions of curses, were a part of ma'at. So like your inference regarding “dirty hands” leads me to suspect you haven’t adequately taken a look at the key foundation of the ancient Egyptian religion and that you need to look far more into Sekhmet’s history.
Like go ahead and Neo-Wicca until your heart’s content; I really don’t care how in the hell you religion. But when you start forcing gods, and therefore the myriad of modern day devotees in relationships with those gods, into a narrow and not historically accurate pov, there are going to be problems.
does anyone get dreams from sigils?
The first ones lived,
those of long ago.
They were the Wandjinas
like this one here, Namaaraalee.
The first ones, those days,
shifted from place to place…
-Sam Woolagoodja 1975, cited in Akerman 2015.
The shown image shows Aboriginal rock art from the Kimberley, Australia, and is thought to be at least 4,000 years old. Wanjinas, as depicted here and throughout the Kimberley region, are cosmological Beings. Kim Akerman wrote an excellent essay on these Beings and the rock art of this region, which can be read here for those interested in learning more on the matter (via the Kimberley Foundation). The Electronomicon is a book of seven printed-circuit-board (PCB) talismans representing seven magical servitors corresponding to the seven non-octarine colors of Chaos magic. The talismans’ electrical conductivity allows them to act as switches in electronic systems (either passing a current or not), and also allows for novel forms of ritually “charging” them.
