Sometimes you hit a writing flow where you can't remember the definition of any of the words you're using but you just ๐ ๐ฃ๐ค๐ฌ that shit is hitting. I am Merriam Webster and Merriam Webster is me.
When music tech bros wanna build a shitty 30k studio in their closet it's a brilliant idea but god forbid you want to build a studio of old or hard-to-find instrument or you're the crazy one.

I really think we need a new and strong generation of playwrights willing to change the status quo when it comes to how shows are being written, marketed, and distributed. How it currently functions performances are kept under lock and key in hopes that they'll get picked up for an official Broadway run when really I think most of us should be more worried about posterity and accessibility when it comes to our work. This doesn't mean not monetizing your work either but getting an expensive theatre in New York even with producers isn't a great financial move either for most people, a lot of shows don't make it more than a month or so. Individually writing, performing, recording, and distributing your own plays and musicals is truly I think where things are going. Never have I seen a show online and never wanted to see it live unless it truly underperformed; this idea of exclusivity has long been criticized for benefiting the rich disproportionately since they can afford it and it won't be fixed until we make our own work and have control over it.

I hate that minor self mutilation helps me focus
Sometimes I feel like I'm not writing my epic poetry fast enough but then I remember John Milton spent like fifty years and three divorces letting "Paradise Lost" simmer so maybe I just need to trust the process and maybe go blind or something I dunno.

I hate to say it but a lot of modern Broadway performances are just not doing it for me, I don't want to hear a clean near perfectly performed song if that's not what I think the character would be doing. I fear that nobody is acting on stage anymore and I'm seeing a cast album with flashing lights.

I love reading books printed before the year 1900 but the sound of the bind tearing and the soul of a trapped Cambridge student begging to be released from it terrifies me...
People will comment something like "they don't make men like that anymore" under a picture and it's just a guy who looked like Trevor Moore.
I hate looking up "Lute" and getting a barrage of Hazbin Hotel images when all I want to see is a beautiful handcrafted wooden instrument from the Middle Ages with a freakishly shaped pegbox!
I love when I'm reading a used book and they've only annotated the first page or so; better yet when the whole book is annotated but with things like "anger" and "the plot" and literally nothing else.
