The card of the day is the 5 of Pentacles from the #animaltotemtarot The animal associated with it is the Racoon Dog. The Racoon Dog (Tanuki) belongs to the canid family but is neither a racoon nor a dog. They’re the only canines that hibernate in the winter. They live in monogamous pairs and cluster in groups, knowing they’re stronger together. But most sadly, on fur farms all over China and Japan, they’re inhumanely bred and brutally slaughtered for their pelts, which are often sold as “faux fur” to unsuspecting consumers who believe they’re buying a cruelty-free product.😢😡 The 5 of Pentacles is typically interpreted as a card of transition and challenge in the areas of career, health, and finance. It’s all about doing what you’ve got to do to get from one state of being to another (hopefully better) one. Just for today: Remember that for better or worse, every choice has a consequence and our lives are simply a result of choices and consequences (aka ‘cause and effect’). Every experience serves us on some level but it can be harder to find the gift with some more than others; these are transitional moments which serve as necessary passages to greater experiences. Meet 🐈Draco & Bellatrix🐈, the newest members of our home! Bellatrix is the calico goddess too coy to look at the camera. Draco actually has vampire teeth.🧛‍♂️😺 My sister just moved here to Phoenix from Nashville and her new place wouldn’t allow cats... but we will! It’s been awhile since I’ve lived with a cat. Our last one was the sweetest, mildest, quietest little guy. We still miss him terribly.😿 But these guys are only a year old and totally full of themselves. They’re into EVERYTHING. They jump on everything. They make a huge mess when they use the litter box. Like, seriously... they think kitty litter is confetti😸🎊 They don’t listen. They don’t obey. They respond to their names just enough so that you know they know their names... but often choose simply not to acknowledge you. They want you when they want you and don’t when they don’t. Açaí Bowls are LIFE🙌🏻🥣🍓🥥🍌😋 Smoothie bowls like this are my breakfast probably 6 out of 7 mornings. You can buy one at a smoothie shop for $10+ OR just make your own HUGE, all-organic one at home for less than half that. I get all of my organic fruit (including frozen açaí purée and juice) at Costco; they’ve usually got an amazing selection of fresh and frozen organic fruits. I also get organic granola from there too for my topping. This bowl is made with: *2 frozen bananas *1/2 cup mixed frozen berries (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries) *2 packs of frozen açaí *1 handful of spinach *2 tbsp ground flax seeds *1/3 cup açaí juice *Topped with chopped organic strawberries and blueberries, 1/4 cup organic granola, and cocoa-dusted coconut chips. This is literally heaven in a bowl to me. It’s packed with antioxidants and contains all my fruit servings for the whole day. I can’t believe how healthy it is considering how frickin delish it is. And it gives me TONS of energy for the gym (or whatever) plus keeps me full a good 4 hours. PERFECTION! I’ll make a video on how I make them soon to share with you. I know it may sound silly, but smoothie bowls like this have kinda changed my life!

Do you need to “grow up” in any of these areas? If so, just start with the basics and keep it simple. There’s also the possibility of receiving recognition for hard work and/or an opportunity to shine in a different area. If you’re to trying to grow or expand in ANY area of life, make sure your foundations are strong and healthy from the roots up. This is also a reminder to do what you know you need to do, even if you’re not feeling it.
