There's a glimmer of excitement that dances in Retuo's amber gaze. Warm like molten ore to refine anew into a different shape. A new purpose in its life.

"Morax is busied with Lady Guizhong this eve. So it will be just us." His tone is coated with fond exasperation at the mention of the Lord of Geo and the God of Dust. Knowing the latter, she will likely have Morax be her test subject in whatever latest contraption she has constructed.

"Though one looks forward to what tales Morax will bring of his ventures come morrow."

The god of the stove has no aptitude for poetry; not like his dear friend who holds dominion over the small dragons of the earth. The art of the comestible is where his talents lie. Yet just because he is not capable of it himself does not mean Marchosius has no appreciation for it. Retuo’s enthusiasm burns just as warmly and welcoming as those small fires humans gather around.

He hums in affirmation, a playful musicality, and nods assent. It is no surprise that the Lady Guizhong and Morax have chosen to busy themselves with whatever newest marvel the God of Dust has invented. Her ingenuity is without compare.

“You always have been fond of the moon.” Retuo has never spoken of the reason for their fondness, but there is much beauty to be found in it, even Marchosius can acknowledge. “I would like to hear your lunar ode very much. Shall I bring some of the newly fermented rice wine?” Humans are such inventive little things; after introducing them to the application of zymurgy it hadn’t taken long for them to craft all manner of beverage with it. Something the god can approve of -- after all, experimentation can be found at the heart of good cooking.

pervases deserves better than an NPC model especially one that’s a recolour of Chang the ninth so this is my fc/hc’d appearance for his human form’s looks. The ‘mortal lingering’ spell gave him a generic appearance so passers-by would not be suspicious, but this is how my sweet fenghuang really looked when alive and walking around as a ‘human’.

The similarities in their earrings make me believe Yae Miko got hers from Saiguu. My headcanon is that Yae’s were a gift given to her when she agreed to become Guuji of the shrine, a set designed to match Saiguu’s own as an affectionate token. Since Yae Miko was also known to ride on Kitsune Saiguu’s shoulder when she was little, I could also see the small pink fox having played with those earrings at times!

Higher on the kinky scale than I expected, I also thought she’d be more inclined towards dominant, but overall this seems accurate. As a tengu she doesn’t have the same attitude towards sex that humans do and is open to ‘nsa’ arrangements as long as there are no ethical conflicts (i.e. she would not have sex with a subordinate or other members of the Tenryou Commission.) Also, romantic intimacy and love is not something she expects to experience.
