Sorry, I can, like, go or something if you need me toâŠ
âNo... itâs okay. Sorry. Iâm not trying to, um, push you out.â

Hannah moved the book toward herself to show the other girl the cover, âMy dad sent it to me as a joke. âFitness for Dummies.â
âWhy is that funny?â
alwaysaislynnâ:
âYeah, whatâs up?
âSorry, uh... I was just checking if I was alone or not...â
tasha-newmanâ:
Just me, making a mess as usual.
âUm... are you supposed to be doing that?â
hannahbananamendezâ:
âYeah!! Over here!â Hannah called from the corner where she was reading a book, âWhy? Am I not supposed to be here?â Â
âNo, uh... just wondering if I was by myself.â She said, walking a little closer. âWhat are you reading?â
âAnyone in here?â
&&. benji & dixie â
Benji was close with a lot of the staff at Brielle, They all worked together to make sure all of their patients were safe and improving. Some needed extra help outside of therapy lessons, and in the hands of somebody else. Benji and Doctor Mason were pretty close friends and had given him permission to take a couple art therapy class. She had been distant lately and the two wanted to keep tabs on her. Dixie had planned on coming in that day and Mason filled him in on a few things, but didnât want to ask questions.
He wanted the connection to be genuine and natural. He was never one to push or pry for information, people just came to him. Other staff liked that, they knew they had a patient that could trust other people here. Unless they were in harm, or thinking or active in self harm he didnât have to tell them anything. But other doctors willing ot work with them, to meet common ground he told them a few things to help them with their therapy with them as well. Sitting in an office, and being in an art room can change somebodyâs willingness to open up. âYou must be Dixie, Iâm Mr. Hurst, you can call me Benji. Welcome to the art room.â @dixielaminerâ
Dixie had shown no improvement in her time in Brielle. She still had no memories. She still had panic attacks. She found out she was pregnant. Her thoughts were running riot with the what ifs, and thinking about what could have landed her in this place, who she really was. Was Dixie even her real name? At lease the nausea had cleared up enough now... but the problem was what comes next.
She didnât know much about art, or at least she didnât right now. Maybe past Dixie had known something or enjoyed it but Dixie right now didnât have an opinion or a care about art. Yet here she was, hovering outside, doing what she was told basically. She finally pushed the door open and stepped in, feeling anxious and hoping she didnât have a full blown attack. âUm... okay. Yeah. Hi...â
drmasonknightâ:
Mason looked up from his puzzle as he saw a patient standing by his doorway. He smiled, slightly embarrassed that he must have made quite the bizarre first impression for this patient. He looked down at his watch as he saw that it was just in time for his first scheduled therapy session for the day. âAh, not at all! Youâre right on time.â He said, nodding his head. âPlease, come in.â He stood up from his chair to properly introduce himself. âMy name is Mason Knight. Feel free to call me Dr. Knight, Mr. Knight, Mason, anything you want, really.â Of course, he wouldnât want any of the patients to assign him any disrespectful nicknames, but heâd deal with that if that ever happened. For now, he just wanted to make sure he was as open and approachable as possible.Â
Dixie felt awkward in general, never sure of who or what or why or when. She clasped her hands in front of her as she stepped more into the room when he seemed to realise the time or something. She didnât like being here and she just wanted to hide back in her room, honestly. âOkay.â She nodded, figuring sheâd call him nothing really. âNice to meet you.â
Water. It was something you couldnât live without. The human body was made up of at least fifty percent water so obviously it was something important. Lilah however, had come to hate water.Â
Ever since her sister Grace drove them into the dam, Delilah could hardly get close to water without freaking out. Drinking the water was fine, if it was in a small glass. Anything more than a glass was overwhelming to her though, meaning showering and bathing became a stressful task for the girl.Â
Delilah hadnât showered since she arrived at Brielle, she really did not want to go near water. At all. Lilah had found the institutionâs swimming pool not long ago and made a very quick decision to never venture down that part of the hall again.Â
The nurse that checked up on Delilah ever now and again had noticed that the girl was in desperate need of a wash and instructed her to take a shower. Lilah being, well Lilah couldnât say no to instructions so she found herself in a rather uncomfortable predicament.Â
Delilah turned on the taps, humming to herself a little to block out the sound. The smell of the water was already making her feel anxious, she could do it though. She had to.Â
Lilah slipped off her clothes and took a step under the flowing water, feeling it rush down her body. The water was cold and sensing it on her body instantly sent her to places she didnât want to go.Â
Delilah could feel her chest tense up, she was struggling to breath. The vision of the car diving head first into the dam rushed into her mind, her sisters face flashing before her eyes. âNo⊠noâŠ.â the girl whimpered. Not again.Â
Lilah slid down the shower wall, onto her hands and knees. âNo!â she girl screamed, her voice loud enough to be heard across the institute. âNo.. no⊠Grace!â she screamed once more, trying her hardest to crawl out of the tiny cubical. âGrace⊠no.. Grace stop!â she cried again, her face turning a shade of white.Â
Dixie was scared. All the time. Finding out she was pregnant had really made some things just... unable to ignore. Before she could discard some intrusive thoughts that popped in as just her overactive imagination.
The nausea had gone though and that worried her. Time was running out. Dixie was heading towards the showers, something she hated doing because not only did she hate being unclothed now... she hated her body because of the thing growing inside her.
She wished it really had just been the medication making her gain weight, not that she had an eating disorder but she didnât feel or look like herself. Then again, Dixie didnât even know who she was. Was she even Dixie?
As she was rounding the corner, towel in hand, she heard it. The voice. No, the screaming.
Dixie stopped dead, a little afraid actually but then she took some more steps round, unable to stop herself.
The girl she found was naked in the shower, which is obviously the place for that, but nakedness brought Dixie back to the way sheâd been found in the woods and with that came the thoughts. The cascade of what ifs, images, flashing words and pictures that she couldnât connect.
Shoving through it, Dixie moved forward, draping her towel around the girl after she reached to turn the water off. âYouâre okay...â
Mason was working on a very challenging sudoku puzzle. He had actually spent far too much time on that puzzle, but he was determined to finish it! He had to uphold his dignity in being the sudoku master that he claimed to be. After taking a short break, as well as having another needed cup of coffee, the therapist returned to the puzzle. After another five minutes, he persevered through the difficulties and triumphantly completed the puzzle. âHa!â He boasted to the puzzle. âYou had me stumped for a bit there, but in the end, youâre no match for my exquisite tenacity!âÂ
Dixie wasnât sure what she was going to do and she felt sick -- physically and emotionally. Everything was pretty much a mess. Regardless, she was going to her appointments and keeping up with her recovery process but... everything was just fucked up and not working. She lingered in the doorway for a moment, wondering why he was so excited. âUm... is this the wrong time?â
Iâm sorry...
I thought I could figure my way to my room on my own⊠I guess not. I didnât mean to get in your way.
âItâs okay... are you alright?â
skylar-melantoâ:
âIm still not sure. Like, some things are ok so at least its not fully bad. It will just be kinda weird till i get used to it againâ
âIâm still not used to most of this place to be honest.â
It feels weird to be back. Like, some things are still familiar but theres new voices and noises and people. I miss my auntie.
"Weird or bad?â

She was gorgeous, but he was starting to think that maybe he shouldnât be wasting his time wanting to get laid. Not with her, anyways⊠no matter how familiar she felt. But God, he had a feeling that the whole ânot knowingâ of how he knew her was really just going to be the death of him. âI couldnât tell you yetâI have no idea. But who knows, it could keep things interesting down the road?â He grinned, adding a quick wink for good measure before turning slightly, âSo, did you want me to go grab a doctor for you or not?â
Dixie really needed to see a doctor and she just couldnât find one. Why? No idea but she wasnât so sure what kind of super tracking skills he thought he had, but she was desperate so she shrugged a moment later. âFine.â Dixie nodded, still not sure but he probably wouldnât find one either. âSure, whatever. Deal.â
