Last Days of my Internship
The last week of August was project proposal and the first and second week of September was encoding.
Our Director Ms Vivian Japos assigned a project proposal and what we need to do is to make it. After 2 weeks, we present our own proposal and our director was really impressed though it is not perfect.
And the ast days of internship was encoding. The last project I handled was project Limabean.
13th Day of Internship - August 19, 2015
Today we were assigned to make a chapter 1 and a questionaire for project Internet.org.
12th Day of Internship - August 14, 2015
The last day last week we got our pay from our previous project. I was assigned for encoding of Kolehiyala, a different project. What cool about on the project was we were able to know the perspective of the Filipinos towards their plan for schooling. I was also assigned for coding of K12.
11th Day of Internship - August 13, 2015
Last Thursday I was still assigned on the project VS which is for validation. The most challenging phase here is when you were pulling out questionaires that needs to be validated.
10th Day of Internship - August 10, 2015
Last Monday we were still assigned on Data Processing. I was assigned to validate information that were encoded to the software. What I did was I checked the questionaires first then get their number and pull it out to the bundled questionaires. This is for project VS of Rebisco.
Nineth Day of Internship - August 7, 2015
On the last day of the week we were still assigned on Data Processing but this time we were at project kolehiyala which I was assigned on adding variables to the software they were using. It was quite confusing but I was able to finished the job correctly and well done.
Eighth Day of Internship - August 6, 2015
On our 8th day we were still assigned on Data Processing but on different project. This time we were back on project VS. We were assigned to pull out those questionaires that were going to validation.
Seventh Day of Internship - August 5, 2015
On our 7th day we are still at Data processing which we had another project which is Star Suki. I was assigned to list all the open ended answers so they can code it to the software that they were using.
Sixth Day of Internship - August 3
Last Monday we were assigned to data processing. We did pulling out of questionaires that needs to validate. We were in the project VS for Rebisco company.
I remember the day on our thesis with Public Opinion Research when we did that same activity. It is very tiring yet I enjoyed it a lot.
Fifth Day of Internship - July 31, 2015
Last Friday we were still assigned for callout on the project “Quesadilla”. Unlike last Thursday that was our first time, this time we have a lot respondents because we know now what to do.
I have 10 successful respondents that is not terminated.
Fourth Day of Internship - July 30
Last Thursday we were assigned to a project called “Quesadilla” where our respondents are Talk N Text subscribers.
We did telephone interviews and I found out that Filipinos were polite unlike Americans. I finished 8 successful respondents.
It was very enjoying and fun.
Third Day of Internship - July 27, 2015
Yesterday we are assigned to Data Processing and we encode data from raw answers from the respondents. I learned the technique that being used by them and the software they use as well.
The software is called QPSMR and it is far different from SPPS.
Second Day of Internship - July 20, 2015
Yesterday we were on our second day of our internship and we were assigned to do a field research. We need to go with our colleagues to do a field research.
First, we are introduce with the project and present a short briefing on how this process will be. And then we were sent to our designated areas where we will conduct the field research.
We were assigned to Bagumbayan area on Cubao, Quezon City. On the first process, I learned the techniques on how to get a respondents and how it will be a valid respondent.
After an hour of looking for our respondents we conducted the interview and we were guided by our colleagues.
The day was very fun and enjoyable. It is very hard to look for the respondents but when we found them we can say that it is very worth looking for.
First day of Internship - July 15, 2015
Last Wednesday was my first day for Internship. We were oriented by our supervisor Mrs. VJ Japos about their company (Firestarter). She talked about the history of her company because she is the founder of it. She discussed the different types of research such as shopper’s marketing research and the marketing research itself. She also mentioned the traditional ways on how to gather data and the new techniques.
After the orientation, we had a little tour to their productive building and she discussed every corner of their building.
Right after the tour we were introduce to their DATA PROCESSING manager and he taught us on how the process is going on their stage.
It is very exciting on our first day of Internship. And I am still excited on the next stage that we are going to.
