Today I’m thinking about Black families whose ancestors built this country. Indigenous communities who were here before it. Immigrants who crossed oceans and borders believing in its promise. And everyone still waiting to feel safe, seen, and free.

Conservative beauty standards are back with a vengeance which means it's especially important to go out this summer with bellies out and bodies unshaved. Also be unapologetically disabled with mobility aids and wearable medical devices and stim toys and ear defenders and all that stuff. You need it. People need to see it. Everyone needs to be reminded that life is unquestioningly more enjoyable when you're not living inside an arbitrary set of rules created by people who are offended by all the wrong things.

what if we stopped making Ambiguously Brown Character and started actually thinking about the race and ethnic features of the characters we made? what if instead of drawing a character that looks like you painted a white character brown, we started varying noses, lips, eyes, and hair? just a thought

Y'all don't understand the SEVERITY of the situation... ao3 has ONE (1) fic to offer, TUMBLR is a WASTELAND, and, oh my god I never thought it would come to this, but WATTPAD HAS NOTHING TO OFFER.

You might not get how rare this is so let me put it this way, the fact that there's genuinely nothing out there means that the fandom, EVEN DURING BROCKHAMPTON'S PEAK, didn't write any x reader fics (well they could've gotten deleted, but, semantics). I've genuinely NEVER seen this happen though, cause, like, even niche fandoms like the A.P. BIO fandom (show starring Glenn Howerton) has a decent selection of x reader fics on ao3 and tumblr AT THE VERY LEAST, but BROCKHAMPTON? A very influencial boyband in the late 2010s? NOTHING?????????😭😭😭😭
