This small mermaid cake was made for a friend’s recent birthday. Simple but cute!
This girly smash cake was made for a photo session. It isn’t particularly noteworthy except for the sprinkles. I couldn’t find the right sizes/ colors requested by the customer, so I hand made all of them!
I love, Love, LOVE this cake and how it turned out! I was asked to make a pancake cake for a lumberjack themed smash cake session. I wasn’t sure how it would look as most cakes of this style are done with fondant but that wouldn’t make a very cute mess for photos. I worked it out in buttercream and was very pleased. I also created my own thicker “maple syrup” using corn syrup, gelatin, and maple flavoring so that the drips would stay in place. Add a pat of fondant butter and breakfast is served!
This ‘Frozen’ buttercream covered cake is adorned with fondant lettering, chocolate snowflakes, and figures provided by the customer. I was thrilled with the simple, clean design and how it came out.
Rainbow sprinkle unicorn cake!
This fancy smashcake was made for a very cute photo session. The cake is covered with buttercream rosettes and adorned with a gold sprinkle covered fondant “1″ and a hand striped fondant bow.
It would seem that all 3 year old boys are into dinosaurs! This time, I hand molded a dinosaur and also hand cut some coordinating fondant dinosaur cupcake toppers. Cute!
One of my son’s friends was having a race car themed party. I made him a small race track cake done entirely in buttercream (and sprinkles) and some coordinating “stop light” cupcakes with colored sanding sugar. They were a hit!
A customer requested a small, Moana inspired cake for her visiting niece’s birthday. We decided on some wave like icing and some tropical flowers. The flowers and leaves are handmade using a mixture of gumpaste and fondant.
I made this Minnie Mouse smash cake and coordinating cupcakes for a first birthday party. Ears on the buttercream covered cake are made of chocolate and the bow is fondant. The cupcakes were swirled with buttercream and topped with fondant dots, bows, and ears.
This was the spread I made for my son’s fourth birthday party. He is dinosaur obsessed! In the past, I have just done cupcakes, pretzels, etc for dessert as I’ve always been too busy with the party planning and short on time. Now that he is old enough to understand what I do, and he sees what I make for a lot of his friends’ parties, he was very insistent that he wanted a big, cool cake. I was happy to oblige.
We still did the royal iced sugar cookies in the shape of dino eggs and ‘4′s and the chocolate covered pretzels.
I made this buttercream covered volcano cake with fondant triceratops and tyrannosaurus rex. The volcano on top was molded from cake pop material.
I had a very happy little dino lover!
Sound the Octo-Alert!
This cake was a ton of fun to make. I got up early, before my family, and sat at the table making various sea creatures. It really was relaxing! I need to make another under the sea cake soon!
This was a smash cake I made for a St Louis Blues themed photo shoot. Apparently the little guy is a huge fan!
This Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cake was made for a little boy’s birthday party. He is Mickey obsessed! The customer provided the figurines which were placed on the buttercream covered cake with fondant decorations.
I made this cloudy smash cake for an airplane themed photo session. It is all buttercream and there’s not much to say!
This “queen bee” cake was made for a regular customer to celebrate her mother’s birthday. I really enjoyed the chance to do some flower piping. All flowers are buttercream and/ or royal icing. The bees are handmade out of fondant. I love all of the bright colors!
