How long does it take your paintings to dry? Do you have any special process to help the impasto dry faster/more thoroughly? Do you ever have problems with the thicker layers of paint cracking?

Thank you for your interest in my work. To answer your question: I use very expensive paints—materials capable of lasting 500 years, or perhaps even longer, without undergoing any changes. In this way, I safeguard my legacy. I would rather spend more on materials, knowing that the work will outlive me and endure as my legacy for centuries to come; for this reason, I never incorporate cheap paints, inexpensive binders that accelerate drying, or similar additives.
