Hi, I'm LadyIcepaw! Over the years I've illustrated and told stories in all kinds of mediums, including two original webcomics.

What is Dreammakers about?

The first comic, Dreammakers, is a short and sweet story about a college student who has no idea that his mind is populated by strange beings that create dreams for him. When they decide to hold a competition on who can create the most horrifying nightmare, none of them realize the potential dangers... except for one.

What is Dreammakers Beyond The Door about?

In the sequel comic, Dreammakers Beyond the Door (or DMBTD for short), the timid dragon boy Dike goes on a quest to find a lost memory file - and he ends up discovering the roots of a much deeper secret. While this story picks up a few months after the ending of the first, you don't actually need knowledge about the first story in order to understand it.

Unrestrained Summer Fun

Kabedon is the term for the dramatic wall-slam that you so frequently see in anime. Ivy probably thought it was cool, but he's having some trouble in the execution.

Just a lil' Luigi Dike, based on the design from Luigi's Haunted Mansion. They got some things in common.

What do you do when the power's out and Archie asks you to retrieve something from Ubrid's quarter of the HQ? A haunted house mission!

Some memories of enjoying creepypasta and exploring Ivor's expressions! Yeah, I did have a bit of a creepypasta phase - Mostly because it was a source of listening material on Youtube. I ended up mostly loosing interest in it as the pandemic started, since I wanted to surround myself with some more pleasant fictional content during that time. Still convinced that Ivor would have an enthusiasm for it though!

Back when I was getting started on Dreammakers Beyond the Door, I made the descision pretty early on that the comic would have to be mostly lineart. This required some basic rules on how to add depth and detail to scenes without making them too visually messy and overwhelming.

This drawing was an early test for the style I was going for, as well as for the aesthetic of the Subroom. The key is to simply stick to a solid line hierarchy: Thinner lines in the back, thicker ones on objects that are closer to the viewer or require more attention.

Some different life stages for Phil. He went through a bit of a rough phase when he was 16 (as ya do), but eventually grew up into the fairly confident young adult we know from the comics.
