feeling kinda bad cause i haven't been able to keep up with the podcast and life's been pretty chaotic and i'm very tired. all the time

#but listen i've been reaching new emotional milestones lately and putting so much work on myself #therapy's been great and helpful #meditation helps as well #and i've been reducing the amount of time i spend ruminating on my ex and whatnot #and getting more comfortable with how things are and all the ways they're not what i used to want #and i'm now shifting the focus to: ok what is important for me now? what can i do that serves ME now? and things of the sort #i'm like. kinda training to become self obsessed more in the sense that i love myself so so soso so sooo much #and less in the sense of just being too self conscious and critical. just really like 'woah this chick's great. gonna take care of her'#anyway. i'm not all the way there but there's a light at the end of a tunnel and it gets brighter and brighter #i'm expecting some setbacks but i'm not going back #thanks for reading my post break up ego death venting tags

Currently learning Italian along with Portuguese. Why does Portugal Portuguese sound so different? Brazilian Portuguese is so familiar and I can feel how similar it is to languages I was already dabbling in. But Portugal Portuguese sounds like when I first heard other people talk. I can’t articulate this well, but do latin American people experience this, too, or is this unusual?

we can definitely hear the difference between portugal and brazilian accents, to the point where i have a tougher time working with a portuguese client than i do with an argentinian client, for example.

idk where you're from but i'd compare it with someone who has english as a second language after learning american english and then trying to talk to a scottish person

#like argentinian spanish is easier for me than portugal portuguese at times #but well that's how it is FOR ME #idk if it resonates with other brazilians #but yeah. the difference is pretty staggering #lola.ask
