a lot of people on social media have this kneejerk hatred of veganism specifically (vegetarianism to a lesser extent) but I do notice that Tumblr and adjacent folks make these lame appeals towards idpol that kinda just, as always, end up betraying their ignorance

"eating plant-based is for rich people," as if countries don't all increase their meat consumption when they get wealthier or as if meat is more affordable than plant products, or "it's for white people" or "it's for westerners" as if the majority of people eating plant based diets aren't Asian, in the continent of Asia. really fucking strange. you guys are supposed to care about the environment.

I'm so pissed we aren't talked about Jarrod Alexander in a lore context. I swear he is so important but nooooo, "he's just the tour drummer, he isn't important 😡". Sometimes he wears the same uniform as the rest of the band, hes part of the black parade, and yet he simply walks off stage instead of being assassinated. Sometimes, though, he doesn't even wear the uniform. Hes dressed as a nurse. He doesn't show up in reconditioning or take meds, and he doesn't seem to bat an eye as his bandmates die in front of him constantly, even when he stays alive. Gerard is so damn into this lore, there is no way she would let something like that be an accident. Of course some things come from the fact he's a tour drummer and not a "part of the band", but he's also good friends with the guys and he literally dresses up, like why dress up but not have even a little of fake blood spilled on you? Why would Gerard keep this guy not fitting her vision if she could hire a different drummer to play into the lore, unless Jared is actively a part of the lore and has implications that you guys aren't fucking talking about.

Since the Odyssey is trending, now is a good time to remind people that Nolan chose the city Dakhla (Western Sahara) to shoot the film, which is occupied illegally by Morocco. Many Sahrawis are calling for the boycott of this movie.

I'm pretty sure not many people are aware of the illegal occupation of Western Sahara by Morocco, so I invite everyone to do some research on the subject, especially if you support the Palestinian cause, then you should also know about the Sahrawis who, like the Palestinians, never got their freedom.
