Message Starts Below: Hami High Choral Students Need HELP. Hi Doc, I am reaching out to you because of your past experience with Hamilton High School Music Academy. My daughter (Victoria) is a very dedicated senior in the chamber choir and is part of a group of choral students set to travel to Hawaii for a huge competition for which they have been preparing for over a year. They FINALLY fund-raised enough to go. However, a couple of weeks ago, their highest donor backed out leaving them $25,000 short... and they need this by the end of this month otherwise they will be forced to not only back out of the competition and all of the hard work they’ve put into it would be for nothing, but they will also lose most of the advance moneys that they have paid for flights/travel/etc. thus far. They. are. trying. everything. I thought I would help them by networking through my several thousand contacts to spread the word. They really need help. Even though it has been a while since you were with Hami, my guess (and hope) is that you can still relate to the fact that the Music Academy students are SO dedicated to the arts; and people like you give them hope that they can ACTUALLY have a profession and be successful in the musical arts.
