I do find it genuinely hilarious that the 13th doctor managed to get through like 5 different things that could have easily killed her in her final episode, and nearly got away with it, but ultimately got blasted by a turbo laser because she just HAD to stay and shit-talk the master one last time.

Not some noble sacrifice, just hanging about too long to go 'and another thing. FUCK you.' to a dying man. Iconic of her, honestly. Wouldn't have it any other way.

So like. I didn't watch any of the recent eps until last night because of access issues that I just sorted out. But I've still been on tumblr and I've still seen everyone posting about stuff

And 90% of what I've been seeing is just negativity. I follow a fairly wide variety of blogs that post about doctor who, but idk man. It feels kind of like everyone is looking for things to be negative about. Like you can't say something good about it unless you make sure to pay your "but this part is evil and that makes everything cheap and bad" penance. Good parts are forgotten in favour of everyone dogpiling on something that someone else hated.

There's always been stuff to criticise. There's always been and always will be ways that things could be handled better. But tbh I'm not liking the fandom much anymore. I've been on tumblr for 10 years now, and it wasn't always like this. With all of the negative posting, it feels like you have to apologise first if you want to say you liked the episodes. And that's shitty as fuck.

I watched all of 15's second season last night. I liked the episodes. I liked the stories, and I don't agree with most of the negativity floating around about the show right now. The show is fun. It touches on some heavy topics, some in very heavy handed ways, but tbh it's done that at least since 2005. I liked the finale. Yeah, there was an ass-pull, but that's also very modern doctor who.
