PREGNANCY || Quinn & Sam
mrs--quinnevans:
To say the absolute least, Quinn Evans didn’t feel very good. In fact, she felt worse than she had in a long while. Thanks to her husband’s occupation as a doctor and his constant reminders to take various vitamins, Quinn had developed a strong immune system. She didn’t get sick very often, and even when she did, Sam prescribed her whatever it would take to make her better. A few dosages of said medicine later, and Quinn was back on her feet, bossing around her Cheerios like she was born to do so. This time, however, Quinn had been struck with some sort of stomach bug. She had no idea where it came from or how she contracted it, but she had been nauseous all day. She had spent the majority of her morning on the bathroom floor, curled up in a ball trying so hard not to move, in case motion caused her to be sick again.
Quinn had assumed that one of her four children would decide to call their father, but apparently not. All of her kids had left for work without calling Sam, so Quinn had been forced to contact him herself. Thankfully, he had been available, and was on his way home from work to take care of her. At the moment, all Quinn wanted was some anti-nausea medicine, maybe a cracker or two, and her husband to hold her close and make her feel better. It had taken a long while for Quinn to develop a need for Sam to be there when she was sick, but after twenty years of marriage, he was the only person she wanted within ten feet of her any time she felt ill.
The sound of the front door opening and closing was like a breath of relief for Quinn. Sam was home. He would take care of her, and she would be just fine. She very carefully pushed herself up from the bathroom floor and turned, making her way out into their bedroom. She had initially planned on going into the kitchen to meet him, but she was weak, and only ended up making it to their bed. Quinn moved to lie down on her back, one of her hands resting against her slightly bloated stomach, the other running through her messy blonde locks. “Babe?” She called out, her voice clearly conveying how weak she felt at the moment. “I’m in our room,” Quinn mumbled, closing her eyes and waiting for her husband to come find her.
Sam didn't like it when his wife was sick. This meant a lot of things. First, the atmosphere of the Evans' home was always off whenever Quinn was sick. Everyone was on edge because Mom being sick means the end of the world. And, second, and most important in his eyes, it played a hindrance on their sex life and Sam didn't not like sacrificing "Pickle Tickling" time because of illness. Luckily, he was a doctor, and Dr. Evans took good care of his patients. Getting her a prescription for some antibiotics, Sam hurried home early from the hospital in order to take care of Quinn.
Arriving home, he was surprised to not see her waiting for him downstairs. Normally she waited curled up on the couch or sitting in the kitchen. She must be really sick, he thought. Quickly, with the medicine in hand, he began heading up the stairs. About halfway up and he heard his wife's voice, portraying just how sick his love was. A frown on his face, Sam went straight to the bedroom to see Quinn curled up in bed. "Baby," he said softy, closing the door and walking over to her. He sat beside her, smiling as she instantly cuddled against him and wrapped her arms around him. Gently, Sam brushed her hair from her face and leaned in to kiss her forehead, placing his hand there afterwards to feel for a temperature. "...You don't have a temperature," he said softly. Grabbing his bag, Sam opened it and pulled out his stethoscope. "Sweetheart, I'm just going to check to see if there's any abnormalties in breathing and such, okay?" Quinn complied as he preformed a quick physical check up, checking absolutely everything. She seemed well, though it was obvious she was feeling very sick.
He looked down at her with concern, kissing her head. "Love, tell me everything. When did you start feeling sick? How much have you thrown up? When? Tell me everything you're feeling," he said, gently stroking her blonde hair and holding her close as he awaited her answers to his questions, wanting to help her feel better.
Where is my husband?

I assumed one of the kids would call you… I need anti-nausea medicine. Like… prescription-strength. Also, can you pick up Gatorade? I don’t want to dehydrate…
They didn’t… Okay, baby. I’ll bring you something. And, yes, I’ll pick up some Gatorade. Don’t worry, baby, I’ll be home in a few.
Thanks. Hurry home to me.
Okay, sweetheart.

Why didn’t you tell me you were feeling sick? Good thing you have a doctor as a husband. I’m going to leave work right now and hurry home to check on you. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you. :)

I believe someone called for a husband and cuddling?
I’m sorry, baby, but I had three surgeries scheduled and a last minute emergency surgery. I’m on my way home now, though. We can cuddle, sweetheart.
It’s okay. You have a job you have to do. I just don’t feel well at all. I’ve been sick all day… I didn’t even go to work. I hope I don’t have the stomach flu or something.

Aw, well thanks. Glad to be back in Lima! Noah’s pretty happy about it. Yeah, your kids are all grown up! Last time I was here, I think you and Quinn had just had your oldest one and I was just about to leave for California. Gosh, that was a while ago. That’s good that things have been going well for you.
That was like forever ago! Yeah, it's been great. How have things been with you? I still can't believe you're back. Cali seemed like quite the adventure, but there's no place like home, eh?

Little Sarah Puckerman is back in town. I’ve missed all of you!
Holy crap! Sarah Puckerman? Puck’s little sister? It’s been so long! How’re you?
Heeeeey, Sam! Yep, that would be me! I know, it’s been forever. I’m great, actually. I just moved back into town. What about you? How have you been?
Wow! That's crazy, you're all grown up. Welcome back to Lima. I'm shocked to see you back, but I'm sure Puck's happy. I've been great. The kids are all grown up now and Q and I are just as happy as ever. Things have just been great. :)

You don’t need a love life and you sure as hell don’t need one of those kinds of lives, missy. Celibacy, remember.
:D Aww. I LOVE YOU TOO, BABY GIRL.
Why would we be loud when going over our electricity bill?
Yeah, yeah, whatever…
(:
I’m offended! I’m not stupid, Dad! You and Mom are planning on having sex upstairs and you want me to bring Livia, and Soph downstairs to watch a movie and not disturb you!
What? What? WHAT? How is that word even in your vocabulary? Dee, sweetheart, I have no idea what you're talking about. Mommy and Daddy would never have their fun time when you're all in the house. No. We're doing... Other adult stuff. With money. You're being ridiculous. Go and do something outside of the house. All three of you. Yeah that's my form of, er... Punishment for saying the three letter word or something or other.... Yeah.
