Its the same reason he doesnt tell nancy things though in the opposite direction. He expects you to dimish and call his pain nothing with distain, or his own fault with no real way of helping, while he expects your mother to baby him and not let him go.

Both of you treat him on the different ends of how people treat children. Like theyre not people.

Don't you think if someone treated you the same way you wouldnt want to listen to them? That if they treated you like a child who couldnt do anything right that you'd shut down and not listen?
