They cant leave without a male guardian present, They cant study past the grade of six, aren't even allowed to speak in public and are also unable to seek medical care without the presence of a male. And they are not allowed to visit national or public parks. And not only that they aren't allowed to show any skin, can't wear pants or let another woman hear their voices.

And men are allowed to beat their wives as long as they don't break any bones

The Taliban has issued a new decree, it reads

"If a husband beats his wife so severely that it results in a broken bone or an open wound, or a black and blue wound appears on her body, and the wife appeals to a judge, then the husband will be considered an offender (...). A judge should sentence him to 15 days"

so literally just a couple of weeks, and the. he's back home.

And the chances of the case even getting in front of a judge are minimal, when you consider that women can't leave home in afganistan without a male guardian, and that's likely the husband she's accusing.

On top of that afghanistan's sharia law dictates that a woman's testimony is worth half of that of a man. do you think that a judge would believe her over her husband
