In the Forest of Dean.
this is for those who despair over seeing ships or tropes that make them uncomfortable while they do their little scrolly-scroll on ao3, acting like they aren’t responsible for their own internet experience
(alternatively, the back button also works)
Hm. Your interpretation of this character displeases me. Guards! Take them away! Make them read the source material once more, and if that fails, the stocks.
not to suddenly post here for the first time in years but i just rewatched 1408 and why do the ex-romance parts feel like a snily fanfiction rewritten "30 shades of gray" style. like. the ex-wife's name is lily and she has long red hair, and the actor john cusack not only looks a lot like alan rickman, but his character has this cynical attitude about everything lmfao

dumbledore: you disgust me
snape: s-so sorry;..... so s.soo soryr..... c-ccan't help being a... a c,,-capricornn.. ..
[non-cursed text description: Snape says while crying very hard, "So sorry. So, so sorry. Can't help being a capricorn." /end]
some of y'all forget way too often that fictional characters are like... open to interpretation

All my plot bunnies, from FrankieQuinn13, first story. It really scary! I love it!
for anyone needing link to the AO3, here it is! ✨
I heavily recommend reading all of their works, especially if you love starbucksprince (?). Definitely one of my favorite snape-centric writers <3
I've had an attachment to fictional characters since early childhood because my family was not emotionally present for me.
My family coldness did not allow me to develop an ability to accept love, to feel intimacy, to know human connection.
I have always been attached to characters based on what I've desperately needed or what I was overwhelmingly feeling with no one to talk to about such extreme anguish; no one to care.
Fictional characters have always been my superficial supplement for the tier of Maslow's Hierarchy that I was never going to have fulfilled. I'm attached to the character dynamics that emulate the family connection I need, interested in "ships" that echo the patience and warmth I would need in a relationship, and to characters who seem to mirror some of the same agony in my life.
These parts of fiction have been my greatest obsessions and the dominion of almost all my special interests. Because they represent what I've always needed to not feel so broken. What I've needed to feel alive. What I've needed to be okay. Things I will probably never have.
Of course it's never enough. It will never be enough. Humans were not built to survive without the real versions of these things.
But I would be dead without this coping mechanism, without this focus.
Undoubtedly, I would be dead.
Dia duit (hi) after forever lol. I'm not sure what to do with this blog now except maybe continue posting aesthetic and fan art posts? (idk probably not). I still love Snape but, my special interests just work in a way where I'll lose interest in one thing and have all my focus in another. Plus, like many, I'm very disheartened with the Harry Potter series and am definitely feeling the cognitive dissonance of whether I feel right or not to still admire bits and pieces of it.
I am, however, mostly active on my Jojo's Bizarre Adventure sideblog, @deusluxuria , and then here is my main @wormworker .
I am really not proud of a lot of the posts I've put on here but it feels like too much right now to scroll back and delete them (it's embarrassing and also a lot of work). I'm so sorry if any of them have offended anyone. I have improved a lot as a person and I encourage you to engage with these other blogs if you're interested. Slán go fóill! (Bye... for now!)
what of his soul? i always wondered hmm...
