The pig farmers basically just love their pigs and take care of them the pig stealers have to come and take them away for them to become meat but a schism between the pig farmers and pig stealers has caused this relationship to become obscured and predatory and ritualistic and the pig farmers and pig stealers no longer interact outside this vital ritual or understand each other as people. a pig farmer would kill a pig stealer if they could bring themselves to kill anything and the pig stealers only leave the pig farmers their share of the meat out of an understanding of them as the source of the pigs. the pig stealers maybe understand the cycle a little bit better than the pig farmers in this way but it is by no means a complete understanding nor a wholly accurate one
