patrick swayze was his first “boy crush” and went out of his way to watch every single movie with him in it. it got to the point where john began to notice and called the behavior queer (let’s be honest if it’s john he probably called his son a fag) and the deep rooted internalized homophobia of dean winchester began there

tbh i think you could replace swayze with any male celebrity i just think that swayze would be someone dean would look up to because he’s such a “macho man” on the outside

so much to unpack here…cas calling sam, sam feeling the need to pick up and immediately asking if he’s okay, making sure cas doesn’t worry about what they’re doing and focuses on healing, implied that cas was resting in sam’s room

not to mention sam asking if cas is gonna be okay after he hangs up

angsty sam winchester headcanons 🐾

- before being cured of the demon blood he would spend up to an hour in a hot shower, sometimes scrubbing his skin trying to purify himself, other times the water would be so hot and he’d stay in there for so long he would pass out

- after hallucinating lucifer he started the habit back up, trying to cleanse himself of all the tortured he had gone through.

- when hallucinating lucifer he was afraid to be naked and so vulnerable and would find any excuse not to shower

- bites and picks at his nails/skin around his nails until it bleeds

- doesn’t like sleeping on his back because it makes him feel vunerable

- when he catches himself rambling he goes quiet and wonders if he was being annoying and stops talking

- chronically apologizes for everything even when it’s not his fault. always feels like it’s his fault because he’s used to being blamed so he automatically assumes he’s going to be blamed

- still has nightmares about jess, lucifer and other trauma he went through but never brings it up to dean or anyone

- when dean gets upset and hits him, he doesn’t fight back most of the time because he doesn’t want to hurt dean, and because he thinks he deserves it, even if he knows he’s in the right

- absolutely terrified of being yelled at, especially by older men, it reminds him of john and dean

- even though he seems more in tuned with his emotions than dean, he refuses to let himself cry in front of dean over small things and waits for dean to go out so he can cry, then gets upset at himself for being such a crybaby

some of these are definitely not projecting…definitely not…
