eleven is fascinating to me because he came right off the back of tens horrible traumatic breakdown after he lost everything and he immediately tried to establish himself as the opposite of that. he is funny and goofy and almost childlike, and he bulldozes on in his adventures with amy like nothing happened at all. but then something happens and his masks slips and it's like oh! the core of this man is still anger. he is so so angry all of the time and this façade is the only thing stopping him from being consumed by it. he isn't over any of it and he hasn't moved on. he is wearing a fez and laughing but under that all that exists is age old anger and grief and it is going to consume him

Summary: Ahmad's family are currently living in poor shelter and miserable conditions after the recent flooding. The short-term goal is to get them a new tent and winter survival supplies before the weather gets colder.

Current progress:

Campaign/family details:

Ahmad is only 14. He loved school and had dreams of being a doctor which were stolen from him.

He and his family were displaced when the war reached their neighborhood and destroyed their home.

They fled to a makeshift refugee camp, where they now live with thousands of other families.

Ahmad's father lost his job in September and the campaign's funds now go towards basic necessities rather than just evacuation. The current priority is to get a new tent and winter supplies before the weather gets even colder.

They abandoned their tent in Khan Yunis due to an unexpected evacuation and their current shelter is inadequate.

Ahmad sent me photos and the walls are made of a flimsy, torn material.

Heavy rainfall recently flooded the area, soaking luggage and bedding in frigid water. The family had to deal with this for several days.
