To Hiveswap Fans

Friendly notice/reminder to fans new and old that one of the biggest reasons why Hiveswap took over five years to develop is because a large part of the funds raised by the Kickstarter were stolen by the company originally contracted to develop the game, @oddgentlemen, who used the money (Almost 400k of the 788k given to them, probably more because What Pumpkin and Andrew Hussie got even less of the remainder back) to make other games instead. They spent At least 170K on King’s Quest confirmed and speculated 190K on Wayward Manor. And given that the actual builds that TOG made for Hiveswap were barely more than a basic walking animation and a glitched up room, What Pumpkin basically had to start from scratch. All and all, well over a year and half a million wasted because of those embezzling douchecanoes.

So yeah, Congrats to What Pumpkin and Andrew Hussie for an amazing first chapter of a fun point and click game. And GFY, @oddgentlemen. tumut Source: Reddit thread here
