Dogs in Los Angeles

I come across many dogs in LA and this is where their pictures are posted. In a year I will transition this project into an actual photography exhibit with hopes to raise money for the betterment of the species.

This is Lilly's sister. I think her name is Daisy. My cousin got her after I moved out so I have less interaction with her. Full of energy and always smiling - unlike Lily

I know this dog very well. Lily might look sad, and she is perpetually depressed looking - but she is treated extremely well. If there ever was a dog that suffered from depression it's this one....awwwww Lily

Okay I know, not a dog - but I saw this walking down Selma off Cahuenga and had to post. I hate seeing animals that shouldn't be captive, not only captive but being paraded down streets for a movie. Not happy about this at all.

Okay now I know this one is so small but look at this scene!! This little pup is following his owner in a tiny rain suit. These two walk the same path every morning and it's out my window at work. no leash, no problem - even with a ton of people around. Makes me a bit uncomfortable the owner rarely looks back to check the dog - but it works for them so go puppy go!!

Yeah this puppy had a face to love forever

I know this one is hard to make out so here's the context. There is a homeless man off the freeway and this is his dog. He laid down a blanket for the dog to lay on and had a blanket over him to keep him warm - I mean, it's LA so at worse it was about 65 this day last February. I thought this so loving for this man, with so little, to care so much for his best friend.

Sometimes the eyes tell a story you hope isn't real - I meet lots of dogs and the owner of this one seemed loving, but the eyes, oh the eyes seem sad - almost longing....I hope this dog has a good life and I am wrong. I really hope I am wrong.

And some dogs just don't want to be in from of the camera. Chihuahua's are known for their shy behavior, at least the ones I know. Still glad I captured the eyes of this one.

Caught this little guy at the Big Top Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros show at the LA Historic State Park in Chinatown.

Caught this dog on the way to Atoms for Peace at the Hollywood Bowl. Uncooperative with the posing but beautiful none-the-less. I want to say Pitbull but am not sure. Dogs this size are often misunderstood as violent by nature was is a shame because it's the owners that make them mean. This lil guy was a sweetheart.
