from the pinata track it's highly likely that dowoo is not present at all in this album. their voice is not in and their reference is also not in the mv. maybe the a&r is taking the approach of not showing them at all with the "Two out on a mission, five on stage. We're still fully loaded!" It's a bit sad they miss out on this comeback cause the promotion is definitely an upgrade from walk for the fans and they're also trying to bring them to wider audience. I mean, matt damon and charlize?? Btw i was so excited for the interview cause im a big fan of matt hahah
DoWoo can't be present on promoted songs. For example, Taeyong was on "Walk" version for the album, but absent from the version used in the MVs. And "Pinata" will be performed (plus it does very much look like a track added in Spring).
There was a reference to a bunny and a dog in the Assemble trailer (Yuta and Tae play-figting with toys).
That being said, with the small number of songs, my hope is beginning to dwindle as well. Yet, I decided to just patiently wait till the album release and be faced with the fact on the D-day instead of doing guesswork right now and be emotional over DoWoo.
My jaw was on the floor when I first saw the news about the interview! What were the chances for such a crossover with mega famous actors? SM should be praised here. Seeing how Sharon and Matt even were asked to dance to Blingy, it was part of the promotion for 127. I know other idols participate in such programmes, but there is a long list of candidates, I'm sure. (on this Summer Gayo Deajeon all 3 MC spots were also given to SM artists (Shion, Ian, Sungchan) when during Do's time his co-workers were from two other agencies, how did SM manage?)
I'm not a cinephile and seldom watch interviews with actors, so it was my first time seeing Matt giving one. I was surprised how talkative he was. These promotional interviews are tiring (both talked about it), yet he had endless things to talk about how the camera works and the shooting process.
It was funny when the actors praised (out of politeness) the idols with "oh, you did so well, like professional interviewers" and Johnny did the face of "duh, I have years of experience, noone told them?". It was also noticeable that Jaehyun never mentioned he tried acting as well, didn't ask for an advice. Very EA Asian of him.
It be nice to see the return of John-D and Jae-D (their radio show "NCT's Night Night" nicknames). The past year Johnny appearred on enough shows to become somewhat familiar to show producers, so it is easier to push him now, his CV is stronger. And Jae has the Inkigayo experience and the face card. Interviewing English speaking foreighners is a fitting occupation.
I hope the stylist, apparently a huge fan of Matt and Sharon for many years, who hand-painted JN's jeans and made Jae's broosh was able to see them backstage. In the past, a few actors and showrunners posted my fanart of them or their shows on their socmed, so I know it's fun to have such an opportunity at a kind of communication/connection.
