i finished book 2 last week and i kinda wanna do comics in the show’s visual style going over all of the sansan interactions in the books that didn’t make it to the show but hhhh man that is a l o t of work and idk if im ready to die

#even planning out the comics i understand why they didn't keep a few of their scenes tho #with budgeting and resources and whatnot #and i want to make their scenes more accessible for those that haven't read the books!#sansan

the ‘without littlefinger and ramsay i would have stayed a little bird all my life’ line wasn’t the best but i think it makes sense for book sansa who didn’t go through ramsay? i think the point of the line is if she went with the Hound he would have protected her but Littlefinger taught her politics and she had to fend for herself. but with the whole sansa filling in for jeyne reaaaally throws that line off and it reads as ‘abuse was good for me’ which is a yikes

BUT man that scene was way more than i was expecting haha im so surprised that they made the scene so romantic? with sansa visibly not the most chill with the girls pursuing sandor and the hand touching and and ahhhh wow but still don’t want to get my hopes up bcos they playing this one sansa ship per ep thing and i dont know if the hound will survive kings landing sweats so muchhhh

Can we talk about how Sandor hates crowds but yet he sits dead center and doesn’t leave until Sansa talks to him???Then he panics so fucking hard when she holds his hand he fucking leaves the whole fucking kingdom????

iM GON WHINE A BIT ABOUT THE LAST TWO EPS IM SORRY

this isn’t even about sansan, a reunion would be nice but i am absolutely fine with tyrion/sansa or sansa not having any romantic interests!

i feel like the last two eps kinda ditched what made game of thrones refreshing/exciting to watch? I’m def more of a show fan and I actually really enjoyed the later seasons! (i started GoT super late and I just finished the first book so I’m not familiar with the ASOIAF version of the story yet) GoT ofc is known for it’s good plot twists, ones that aren’t there just for shock value and have an impact on the overall story, but the last two eps have been so safe and predictable ;; and the twists they have have very little pay off for the viewer? like the deaths were so safe! an unexpected major character death would be such a good catalyst for the cersei arc! we understand that our heroes are angry with cersei for not helping but it would be so much more effective for the viewer to feel why we need to be angry at her ahhhh.. like theon, jorah, lyanna, and edd’s deaths were sad but y’all we been knew they were dead they have no relation to the main plot. the battle of winterfell and any battle needs to feel a bit bittersweet for the winning side but that was just? sweet? and if u don’t get both it’s just bland y’all.

anddd the last two eps were mostly fluff with veerrry little content and prob could have been one ep ;; the character interactions were cute but felt more like a ‘let’s force these characters to interact because we need to wrap up the show’ rather than ‘let’s explore the humanity of the characters’ which is also what GoT is known for

but hopefully the last three eps will make up for that!!! i have hope bcos the first ep was pretty perfect haha
