OMG we share so much in common, i absolutely love like pretty much everything you listed in the misc and the music genre. I love horror, have you seen that one Minecraft horror video on YouTube? It’s called Something is knocking at your door but I like to call it Verity. It’s sooo good! The voice actor for verity did an amazing job.

Btw what’s your favorite arctic monkey’s song? I love knee socks.

Also I’m curious what’s the walten files about? and I’ve heard possibly in Michigan songs before but never watched it, should I?

we will have to check out the minecraft video, as we do not think we have seen it before. thank you for the recommendation :) as for arctic monkeys, we do not follow them super “religiously,” so to speak, but we really like the entirety of their AM album (we own it on cd). also, heavy agree on knee socks (had to pull it up to re-listen, because since we listen primarily on cd, we do not know most of the song names yet :,)). the walten files is kind of similar to five nights at freddy’s (creepy animatronics in a restaurant), but since we never really got into five nights are freddy’s, it is like our canon animatronic horror event, so to speak, haha. we don’t remember too much about the story line, as we have not watched it in a longgg while, but it is an analog horror series and it is available to watch on youtube :) possibly in michigan is very… odd. in a good, way of course. it’s quirky and fun, if you define fun as, well… i don’t want to spoil it ;) we definitely want to watch the other short films by the director (all uploaded to youtube, of course), but we have not gotten around to it yet. do not apologize for asking questions, as we almost never get asks, so this is a welcome surprise :)

do you listen to chase atlantic at all? we have been wanting to get into them more, but we are not quite sure where to start… our music taste is kind of hard to describe and all over the place, because we kind of just go wherever the “visions” (maladaptive daydreaming) take us. if we see an entertaining story to it, then we are all in.

also, we are always down to give out media (books, movies, etc.) recommendations, just let us know what you’re looking for, and we will try our best to help :)

Hi. Hi. Okay. So you want to hear about my Fyodor system headcanon < Barely holding it together with excitement.

I feel like I need to emphasis before I start that this is ALL headcanon and projection (for now). We know nothing about Fyodor's past. This obviously makes it free pickings for me

For context in Fyodor's past: The writing (currently) has her as the main antagonist and yet there are no (or very few) canon parallels between her and the main character Atsushi. So my main theory is that their pasts will parallel and it will show one choosing a path of repeating the cycle of abuse (Fyodor) and one choosing to get therapy and rely on others (Atsushi) which is a whole thing I have mixed feelings on but whatever.

For more context Atsushi is also very system coded, I won't go into this here because this isn't about him, but just trust me.

Anyway Atsushi's trauma is organised abuse, he is routinely tortured and abused by the staff at the orphanage that he grew up in. I personally suspect that Fyodor's past may be the same, or if not, incredibly similar.

We know she is probably 1000's of years old at this point, so likelihood is that she was raised in a society that placed high emphasis on religion and also was just cruel to grow up in. If we're looking at the irl Dostoevsky, we have his father who was described as 'authoritarian' and a mother who was described as being 'deeply religious'- Which may not play a part in Fyodor's character at all (especially as she is based on the Devil from the brothers Karamanov)

There's a throw away line I can't find, but Fyodor also makes reference to the fact that she 'becomes the people who kill her' which includes retaining the memories of other people. Even if she isn't a system in the traditional way, I hope Asagiri explores how being killed over and over and over again has created a mismatched personality that is made up of potentially hundreds of people.

This doesn't mention that abuse and cycles are core themes of bsd, we see them in Dazai, Akutagawa, Atsushi, Yosano, Fukuchi, Mori, ect, ect. I truly believe that we will see this in Fyodor too.

moot I'm so incredibly curious how you find posts that used your gifs for stimboard saturday/sunday

when you’ve been making stim gifs for as long as i have it’s honestly hard NOT to find your gifs in boards 😭 apart from posting lots of stim gifs, you have to actively participate in the stim community by making boards using gifs made by others. and how do you do that? you spend hours combing through other people’s gifsets and boards using tumblr’s search feature ofc! yay! some of the boards i find for those days are just from doing that. i’ll see a gif that looks sort of familiar, check the source, and booyah! it’s mine 😼 then it goes straight to the drafts. after you do that enough times, the algorithm will start recommending boards to you. and guess whose gifs are featured in those? also mine :3c to the drafts they go! then you end up with. checks notes. 68 drafts (that’s just counting starry-stims) and you queue them up whenever you’re feeling silly 👍 so it’s not like i’m actively searching for boards with my gifs. they find me most of the time. operation return to papa. or something.
