Creators and Parasocial Relationships

Hello dearest fans. This is not a studio update post but rather a post about the boundaries for creators within our studio.

Before going any further, we would like to preface as a studio that we do enjoy and cherish any and all support given by fans! Fan content, interactions, and any kind of support you throw our way means the world to our creators.

However, due to an uptick in parasocial relationships regarding a number of our studio creators we would like to restate boundaries and clarify a few things.

Things that do not indicate a level of friendship/intimacy further than a fan and a creator

Positive or Friendly interactions on social media

Monetary Support of a creator

Liking, Reposting, or Commenting on Fan Content

A Creator following you

The creators within Fluorescent Red Studios tend to be polite towards fans/fan content and in doing so their friendliness can be mistaken for friendship.

A few of our creators have chosen to step away from interacting with fans due to parasocial intimacy and bonds that are being forced upon them by fans.

Please do not:

Vent in their DMs

Spam DMs demanding replies or answers

DM our Creators about things that do not relate to their work

Tag our Creators in posts that do not relate to their work

Idolize or Saint-ify our Creators

Sexualize or Thirst over our Creators

White knight or harass other people on "behalf*" of our creators

Participate in Witch Hunts on "behalf*" of our creators

Disregard posts about Boundaries

Complain about Creators Boundaries

* We will NEVER encourage hate or harassment of any person or group of people, at most we will recommend to not interact with a situation

If one of the creators from our studio blocks you, you are not entitled to an explanation, so please respect their decision and do not attempt to surpass their block. If you come to us and DM us or other studio creators in order to get an explanation, we will not respond.

At the end of the day, as uncomfortable as this may be to hear...

Unless a creator directly tells you otherwise, your relationship with them is purely fan and creator.

hi everyone! luckily this hasn’t happened to us with domestic dread yet, but i feel it’s an important thing to keep in mind moving forward when interacting with creators.

New Game Announcement

Hello everyone! Fluorescent Red Studios is happy to announce another game becoming a part of us, and that is @domesticdread by @epykslion and @junibu-art!

This is something we are absolutely ecstatic to have with us and we are absolutely enthralled with Lion and Leo joining us! We cannot wait to see where their new ideas go and are over the moon with excitement to see how Domestic Dread fleshes out further!

Once again we will remind fans that Fluorescent Red Studios undertaking a game will not change it's original framework and plans! All we do is help out on the technical end to make creators dreams come to life <3
