Wally West was brought back only to be killed again? Oh, and looks like Roy Harper is Dead, too.

Roy Harper: Yeah, we’re best friends, but I’d fuck you if you asked.
Jason Todd: What?
Roy Harper: What?
Koriand'r, without looking up from her phone: He said he’d fuck you if you asked.

You tell him Roy

Just read your resent posts on Roy and his friendships with Jason and Dick. They’re really amazing! One thing that caught my eye is that you said that Roy really matured after he became a father, what was he like before then? Also what do you think are important differences between Dick’s friendship with Roy and Wally?
I’m going to break up my answer for this into two separate posts. This one will focus on Roy and adulthood. The second post will focus on Dick’s relationships with Wally and Roy.
I’ll add in what I said about Roy in my other post for reference.
“I’d say becoming a father was a crucial point for Roy’s character development pre-52. He was never the most mature person, but becoming a dad helped him transition into adulthood.”
Now don’t get me wrong. Roy was never the most mature person before fatherhood…

…but even after he gains custody of Lian, he still has moments of immaturity.
The Titans #48
When I said having Lian helped him transition into adulthood, I meant it helped him gain a new sense of purpose and responsibility. This is revealed/implied in panels like:
“I think having a baby to care for is what changed me the most. It was like I was an instant adult.”
The New Titans #118
Action Comics #627
“When you get old enough to be someone’s mom, remind me to tell you about getting up at three in the morning and dealing with bad dreams and making ends meet to feed your kid.”
Secret Origins #38
Lian relied on Roy for everything since he was raising her by himself. He had to make sure he got his shit together so he could give her the best life possible. Before having Lian, he was confused about his life. He was emotionally vulnerable and found it hard to cope with his past, his drug abuse, and his poor relationship with Ollie. So other than fighting baddies, providing for Lian became the purpose he needed in order to gain some stability in his life.
Proof that Roy Harper is the unofficial Bat-Brother
I mean, look at all of these! He is like that friend of yours your little brother bickers with just as much as he does with you.
And that IS something truly special
