River nodded at the other woman’s question, humming lightly as she mapped the path back to the car. It might put the two of them directly in the sights of the men chasing her, if they decided to double back on their path, but it would be far better off risking that than spending the night in the dark and cold. Besides, they’d be less prepared to see them and she could probably take them out before they even noticed the two women.
“I remember,” she murmured, nodding down the alley and moving back onto the street. “It’s only about a few blocks off, we should be there soon.” River kept her eyes on the crowds, using what senses she could to determine if they were being followed or tracked. She hadn’t been able to sense anything yet, but it never hurt to be careful.
It was only a little while before she found the area where she had snagged the other woman, turning and smiling at her. “See? Back home safe… ish.”
While she followed River, Persie kept her eye out for her car. All of her equipment was in there, and while she was certain no one would think to break into a university student’s car, she didn’t like the thought of leaving her astronomy gear alone for too long. Honestly, it was just silly thoughts to even think that way, but she didn’t know what could happen one day. No one did.
When they got back to where this had all began, Persie found it easier to pick out where her car was, letting out a small sigh. “Come on, this way.” She motioned for the other woman to follow her, fishing her keys from her pocket to unlock the car once they got closer. The only thing the student didn’t count on was her phone to start ringing from her other pocket, a familiar tune that could only belong to one relative in her contact list.
Opening her door, she was quick to answer the phone, putting the call on speaker and placing it on the dashboard. “What, Anubis?”
“Nice to finally see you answering my calls, Persephone.”
Great. She was not ready to deal with whatever shit her brother was going to throw at her this time.

Now, she knows she’s not supposed to speak to them. Ella knows better than anyone how the Count can be. She’s had to live with him for nineteen years, after all. Though, Eleanor’s also never been the best at doing what she’s told. At least, not when he isn’t around, & therefore, can’t exactly punish her. Sure, his troupe is there, & one of them could always tell the Count that his daughter’s not been doing as she’s meant, but she’s a fairly decent hider, & she’s sure she can get out of it without too much of a problem.
Careful steps are taken down the stairs into the basement, a candle in hand rather than her turning on the lights & risking detection. She’s a bag on her shoulder, as well, & she’ll see if they’d want anything inside. She can’t offer a way out, but he could at least offer them something else.
❛ Hey.. ❜ Her voice is low & quiet. This is her first time down here, but she knows what her father has likely already done. She wouldn’t want to startle them further. ❛ I, uh.. Thought you might be.. hungry, or something. I can’t cook an’ it might be a little squished but, I got a couple things from a deli a few ways off in town, if you’re interested? ❜
He’s asleep, she’s thankful for that. But he’s fitful, and it worries Morrigan to no end. She’s managed to try and keep them out of trouble. No escape attempts after the first few they tried, early on in their captivity, no attempts to run during the few times they weren’t in their cage. Did Mother know they were gone? Father? What of the jackal, or the underworld’s queen? Did they know what had happened? She knows Myrrdin had stopped asking for Anubis and Persephone long ago, and hadn’t even bothered to ask for their parents.
Hell, even Morrigan had stopped asking the Count about her family. He wouldn’t have given them any straight answers anyway. So when she hears a voice, Morrigan is quick to throw a blanket over her brother, to avoid any questions that may be asked about him. But instead of the Count or his goons, its a girl.
❛ What? ❜ She wasn’t sure what else to say at first, her own voice sounding rough and unused to her ears. “Ah. . . Y-yeah. Food might help with Myrrdin. He gets hungrier than I do most days.” That was just a general fact. Morrigan stepped closer to the bars, hunched down, feeling much smaller than she was. Just a caged bird, really. ❛ Who are you? Why are you here? ❜

❛ Y’know, unless ya plannin’ on payin’ up fa ya stayin’ here, I suggest leavin’. I’m busy relaxin’, and I’d prefer bein’ alone until I feel like company is needed, so shoo! ❜
❛ I’m. . . I’m sorry, um. Paying? What um. What exactly am I supposed to be paying for? I didn’t even know anyone else was here, you can’t just expect me to pay to be here or leave because you were here before me. ❜
&& @dontcallmesephone ;; FOR ANUBUS
❛ Honestly? I’m jus’ gonna say it once, puppy-boy. Ya blockin’ my ability ta break in, so why don’cha move outta my way before I gotta stick a bullet in that pretty head of yours? ❜
❛ You really think a threat will make me move? Sorry, but you’ve decided to mess with the wrong man. I’m not moving aside, clown, so you can just turn around and be on your way. ❜

Fuck these would be perfect in my bedroom
River hummed lightly as the other questioned her choice, listening as closely as she could for any signs of someone tracking them. Thus far, she couldn’t hear much more than the normal city traffic, and that thought was concerning it itself. With a light sigh, she pulled her hair back and tried to get it under control. Hairdos weren’t much for disguises, but it could possibly give her a shot at mistaken identity and keep her from being immediately killed.
She looked back at the other woman with a bit of surprise as she hesitantly agreed, a grin blossoming on her face. Perhaps this whole ordeal was about to get a lot simpler. With a light nod, she gently took the other’s hand again, pulling her down a flight of stairs and to a back door, waiting a moment before peaking out. “Stay next to me and don’t look around at anyone. Just focus on the crowd ahead of you and navigating back and leave the rest to me. The more you look around like you’re looking at someone, the more likely we are to get caught.” Her smile softened. “Don’t worry, we can still talk on the way there, but just try not to look so stiff.” With that, River opened the door, letting go of the other’s hand and starting to walk, hoping the other could catch on quickly.
Persie tried to relax at that, running a hand through her hair. The only thing she would be looking around for is her car. And if this woman really thought she wasn’t going to stay next to her, then she was wrong. She feared that wandering away from her would cause the people chasing them to find her first. That was something she really didn’t want to experience today.
“You remember where you ran into me, right? My car is around there. I have a general idea of where to go, but. . .” She normally didn’t stick around long, mostly because of the crowds that would pop up.

The plan was simple enough, even his fairly idiotic troupe members were able to complete it. With his own wondrous acting talents, as he likes to call it. Though, the plan did end up being solved, seeing as how he now has these twins in his custody, or, cell, rather. Arms crossed as he looks them over; how clever, it was. Made sure he was starring in the show, took over as director as he’s done many times before. Al Funcoot, & this time, he didn’t place his name on the plate. At large, at least. Well, he tried making himself less obvious. Seems their parents tried keeping them out of the lifestyle, as well.
Naturally, he had the pale-faced ladies take the two. Had them escort them to ‘meet the cast’ & drugged them the second few others were able to see. Now, here they are, locked within his trap. They’re still fairly banged up, too, from the ride in the trunk of his car, seeing as he’s not the most legal driver on the planet. Gaze holds darkly, particularly over the young girl. Now, he’d have an awful lot of fun here.
❛ Now, the Curtis twins. You’re going to make such grand additions to my wall, once your family learns of your predicament. Or, maybe I won’t tell them.. Not until you meet your end. Or, one of you, at least. After I kill the other ones in your line, then leave only one of you left. I only need one to obtain your fortune, after all. Though, I believe some lessons are in order, first. ❜ &, they’d not be anything short of horrid, not coming from the Count.
They wanted to surprise their mother. She was going to the show tonight, and they wanted to show up, to show her that even if they were around the age where they should be interested in other things, they still enjoyed going to the productions. Not once were they expecting to be taken back to meet the cast, though Morrigan had seen her mother’s fearful expression before she was lost to the crowd. Myrrdin didn’t even realize that something was wrong. Neither of them did of course, not even when it was too late.
Morrigan was the first to wake up, Myrrdin still out cold. She didn’t even have any time to fuss over him before hearing a voice. She turned to face the man, stifling a pained groan from the movement. What happened? Why had he taken them? And who the hell was he?
❛ Sorry to disappoint, but. . . You want anything from our family? Should have gone after the jackal and not the witch and wizard. ❜ Growing up with nicknames based around the origin of their names made it easier to speak of her siblings sometimes. But it still made no sense. Why would he want the family’s fortune? It took her a moment to realize he had said something about lessons. ❛ What? We don’t need lessons! ❜
You have stardust in your veins, darling. That’s why, sometimes, it hurts to breathe.

River hummed lightly at the other woman’s argument. It was true that the opinion of one’s name was rather relative, but she was comfortable with hers so it didn’t really matter as much whether or not it was unusual. Besides, it certainly wasn’t the most unusual one she had heard in her many travels.
She smiled as the other accepted her hand, pulling her across with just enough force to help but not send her toppling over the edge. It was going to be tricky, protecting two people instead of only one, but she seemed at least a bit more coordinated than the Doctor, so it might not be quite so bad. “Good, this way,” she responded, tugging her along before stopping near a doorway and checking for signs of anything. “I have a place on the edge of town that might be safer, but they may have already found it. Using yours might be safer, though we’ll have to make sure we’ve lost them first.”
Persie didn’t fight against the other woman, letting her tug her along towards the door. She knew better than to try and argue, especially since she already agreed to work with the other woman, at least for a bit and just so the two of them could stay alive.
“I. . . My place?” While she couldn’t exactly argue it wouldn’t be safe, especially since wherever this woman was staying was probably found and her own flat was unknown to whoever was after her, she wasn’t too keen on letting a stranger into her home. But, she did agree to work with her. She probably should get her things home anyway. “. . . Fine. You know where we ran into each other? My car is around there. We just got to reach it, and then we have a way to get to my flat. Shouldn’t be too hard, yeah?”
I have six images for the family aesthetic, with the ones for each individual family member to be used in their personal aesthetics as well.
Now to just. . . Get five more for the twins, Anubis, Lenore, and Arthur, and two more for Persie.
Then I can make these things and post them!
“I came from the planet Khoas, I am a Kryon, and my planet is located in the pinwheel galaxy, it’s got lots of mountains and caves, some minor lava, and also water. But it’s completely in shadow, it gets no sun. But I traveled here by hitchhiking..I like your name Persie, nice name.”
“Khoas. . . Another planet. . . In another galaxy. . .” She was talking to someone - something? - that wasn’t from Earth. Which meant that her coordinates to Eden (or whatever it was really named, she didn’t care, she found it so it was Eden) were real and the planet possibly was inhabited. But there was also some doubt that someone could be playing a trick on her. “My name? Uh, yeah, it is nice, I guess. Jax is a good name, too.”
