You Never Know

Since a lot of artists are making their own shops, I thought it'd be good to have a tumblr to house reviews I have for the ones I've shopped at. I'm not trying to attack any artists in the process, but need I remind you that this is a business. And so I am writing these reviews as a consumer, but with a business background.

Review: Purchased the fanzine in February and wanted to know what the status of my purchase was. I never received an email that it was sent or anything of the like. So I emailed Anthea after a month passed from my purchase (and the webpage says that the item would ship 2 weeks after purchase). Its been two weeks and I haven’t received a response to my email. But if you look at social media, it says that stuff might be lost in the mail and to email her. But I emailed her... and nothing happened. Don’t expect your customers to look at every social media outlet to get answers to their questions. Please be prompt with email responses.

Overall impression: Not favorable as of the moment.

Review: While the items look cute online, my friend and I have been product-less and it’s been more than a month since our purchase date. After sending an email for an update, just to see if our items were shipped yet (my friend and I purchased separately and both emailed her), there was absolutely no response for 2 weeks. Since nothing was getting done, and we sent out emails at different times, we decided to escalate the situation and dispute it with paypal. It’s been a week since then and there is still no reply. 

Oh and she is active on twitter. So, there are not any alarming situations that could have prevented her from emailing us and letting us know what was up.

Very bad business and very bad communication from the seller.

Overall impression: Never buy from her. Ever. Seriously. Don’t.

Review: I’ve purchased from Bing on more than several occasions; however, there was one particular time that I was unable to receive my item. I bought an art book that was lost on it’s way to me. After contacting Bing, Bing was quick to file a search with the post office in order to find the product. However, the office wasn’t able to track the product and Bing offered to replace the art book when she would attend the convention near my location. I’m super appreciative and thankful that Bing was so quick on the uptake and even offered to go above and beyond. Some stores do not offer replacements for lost items, and some of them also do not provide tracking-- I advise you to be weary of such stores. Fortunately, Bing is very capable and you can definitely trust this site and anything produced by her. 

Overall Impression: Great!

Review: I love Loika’s artwork. I’ve purchased several prints from Loika, as well as their art book, and I will continue to purchase more from them until I’m flat out broke lol. Though I can’t say anything in terms of customer service, Loika is consistent in handling orders. I have never once wondered when a package might be coming. What’s good about the storenvy shop is that they at least tell you when an item has been shipped.

Review: I’ve only purchased from gdg once but I have absolutely no complaints with them or their products. I purchased the Haikyuu button set, a Haruka charm, and a set of prism bookmarks. The items were packaged well and I received them in the mail rather quickly. Quality was wonderful as well, and I just adore everything I’ve purchased.
