Tonight when I was trying to get W to sleep I got such a strong feeling that you were outside playing. I even tried to look for you through the window. Your presence is slowly fading but sometimes it still comes moments like this when I'm so sure you are just there, in the corner of my eye. Are you here?

Today would have been your second birthday. Instead of seeing the joy when you got something extra delicious all I got this morning was silence and emptyness. Instead of kissing your head on the spot right between your fluffy ears I got to kiss your urn. When will this ache in my heart stop?

I said last year that I wanted to take you skiing but we never got the chance. Yesterday I bought all the equipment and I will be thinking of you when I use it ❤️

Two days before we met you we got pictures of four pups that we could choose from, nicknamed after the colour of their collar. R wanted one of the green ones, and I said sure but that I want to hug the orange one cause it looked so fluffy. When at the breeder "orange" was all over me, trying to get in my lap and wouldn't let any other pup get near me. That orange pup was you, Echo. You chose me to be your mama and you were my little babydog ❤️

You chose me when we first met and I couldn't be more grateful for your endless love. You saw me at my worst and still loved me like when I'm at my best. I hope you never doubted that the love was two-ways, cause I loved you more than words can describe ❤️

I wish you were here, I miss you so much. You were always a good boy, mommys good little puppydog. This wasn't your fault. If only I could hold you again and wisper in your ears how loved you always were. The best dog. I always think you are here, in the corner of my eye, but when I look you're not there. I speak to you out loud when I'm alone and I made the blankets lie neatly in your cage, put your chewie toy inside if you wanna play. Please, forgive me for everything. I wish I could have given you more time. More time for walks in the forest, more time for swimming in the lake, more time for play. The tears never seem to dry. I love you, Echo ❤️
