From his place, sprawled comfortably in the contiguous loveseat, Adrian could safely split his attention between watching the movie (Moana had always held a special place in his hear even if Finding Nemo would always be his favorite) and surreptitiously watching the lovey-dovey display from the corner of his sight. He felt a strange mix of amusement, fondness and second-hand embarrassment at how sickeningly sweet they were with each other; Spencerâs behavior didnât surprise him, per se, because he had cuddled the Pyromaniac more times he could count in several ways, but to see Carmona, who adamantly insisted on trying to pretend to be a bad bad criminal, so huddly with someone like that said a lot about the strength of his feelings for Cassie.Â
He held his hand up in a halting motion, furrowing his eyebrows and twitching his nose slightly âNo, no, donât include me in your coupley decision-making process. Iâm just third-wheeling right now.â he brushed off evenly, the wheels of his head spinning as he formed a plan to amuse himself now that the movie was over âThe only thing I ask if you stay is a heads-up if my earplugs will become a necessity for my sanityâs sake.â he added wickedly, wiggling his brows suggestively and snickering to himself at their reaction.
He could tell that Cassie was on the fence, so he upped the sad eyes and pleading just a little bit. Not too much to spark irritation, but enough to make it really hard to say ânoâ to. âCassie, please. Iâll be on my best behavior, I swear; just stay for one night.â Carmona tried again, letting his eyes get just a tiny bit wider and letting a small pout take over his features. Only to look back over at Adrian, and giving him a look that said âAnswer correctly, or take a bullet to the shoulderâ.Â
âThat is the first correct thing youâve said all night, Adrian. Iâm older, Iâm allowed to have whoever I like to stay over; you donât get a say kiddo.â He half teased, as he moved up just enough to toss a pillow at the Mermanâs face; when he made the suggestive comment. âJust ignore him, Cassie; or if you want, I can shut him up for you. If you stay the night that is.â Carmona returned to his pleading, turning it up just a notch; by turning completely. Wrapping his arms around his girlfriendâs waist, and pressing his face into her stomach. âYou get pick on next movie, if you stay over. Adrian losses his movie pick, since we have company over.âÂ
âCarmona...â Cassie chided with a laugh as he teased Adrian. âItâs his place too.â Sheâd never expected Adrian to say no, it was more of a stalling mechanism. It was getting harder to say no to Carmona though, and with Adrianâs approval, she was about to say yes. Adrianâs second comment, however, made her blush deep red. She ducked her head behind the couch so Adrian couldnât see. As Carmona cuddled her tight, begging her to stay, she had to chuckle and bend. âOkay, okay. Iâll stay. Alright?â She put her gloved hand on Carmonaâs head, so she could rest her head on his and tangle her fingers in his hair. âCan we watch WALL-E?â
