“Have you tried pressing the buttons?”

“Oh these buttons? These very obvious buttons on the wall right here? No, no, no, I thought I’d just stand here and admire the decor!”

“Yes, that’s a YES! I pressed all of them! Multiple times! With flair! And style!”

“Good initiative Robbie!”

“Don’t patronize me Sportakook.”

“Hmm, if there was an opening I could jump up and carry you to the surface! Maybe the elevator needs power? Or perhaps it is a mechanical issue?”

“Perhaps I could figure it OUT if you stopped bouncing! What are you even doing?”

“Jumping jacks! It helps me think!”

“I’m so glad you asked! You see Jumping Jacks strengthen your heart, improve metabolism, and—”

“Stop stop stop! Ugh just—don’t do it anymore. If you must…*shiver*...exercise, pick something non-bouncy-wouncy-ouncy.”

“Of course Robbie! I wouldn’t want to break your concentration, would sit ups be better?”

“Hmm, I can hear something. I don’t think the elevator motor is running at all.”

“Why oh why didn’t you mention that before?! That changes everything! And here I was, wishing, praying that if ooOonly I had an oblivious bouncing baby blue ELF here! Then we could hear our way to freedom!”

“Really?”

“Haha! Oh I get it now! It was a joke, haha! I knew it! After all, I don’t think that’s how elevators work.”

“Well not this one anyway. And I should know, because I built it.”

“Well it’s not like I made it to break!”

“…Robbie.”

“…Okay, it might have been supposed to break. I figured if you were underground, you couldn’t bother me anymore.”

“So yes! I may have installed a tiny, perfectly harmless, extremely dramatic and very villainous, not-very-well-thought-out…trap…elevator.”

“...”

“...But it was one that was supposed to trap you down here, not trap me in here with you!”

*sigh* “Oh Robbie, always up to your tricks.”

“Don’t waggty-wag your finger-inger at me! It’s—YEOUCH!!”

“Robbie? Are you hurt? Let me see!”

“NO! No, it’s fine, it was only a little teeny-weenie electric shock.”

“Robbie…”

“Oh shut up, it was barely enough voltage to kill a horse.”

“Oh no Robbie! Are you alright?”

“NO, I am trapped in an elevator with my greatest nemesis and now I have no eyebrows to disapprovingly glare at him with!”

“That does sound inconvenient.”

“Inconvenient?! It’s YOU, YOU OVERACTIVE KANGEROO! Get away from me! You’re probably going to start doing push-ups or something!”

“That’s a wonderful idea!”

“No. No, no, no—don’t you dare—”

“I will go out through the wall if I don't get out of here in the next 60 seconds.”

“I don’t think that would be a good idea. Breaking the elevator would be unsafe.”

“Oh no! Would you like to talk about it?”

SO I'm a history major with a creative writing minor currently taking part in an Honors Fanfiction course, and one of our final major projects for this year involved creating a spreadsheet sorting data for fanfics written about a ship of our choice, and then presenting that data at a big art show. OBVIOUSLY i did SentryAgent, and i've been asked to share some of that data here!

But!! I would really like to address some finer details of this project;

My professor wanted us to sort these fics into categories based on their relation to the franchise they stem from, therefore, any fics that take place in the canon universe after the events of the Thunderbolts (2025) are considered sequels here.

These fics are NOT organized in any kind of order! They are not ranked in anyway, they were simply filled in in the order in which they exist in my AO3 bookmarks!!

We were only supposed to write 1-3 sentences maximum for explaining plot and personal comments, which is why I wasn't able to be as detailed as I would have liked to have been with these (and I had to really generalize, which sucked [especially with sugarskies Come Back to Me First, which I originally had like two paragraphs about lmao]). if anyone wants to come freak out with me over how INSANELY INCREDIBLE every single one of this fics is, i would be more than happy to talk about them!!

I originally had a much longer spreadsheet, but my professor cut several from the end due to time constraints for our presentations. Again, these weren't organized in any sort of order, so the ones that got deleted were only chosen because they happened to get entered in later on (I argued with them EXTENSIVELY about keeping the other fics, but was ultimately vetoed. I'd like to quickly shout out @doggedworship's fucking GORGEOUS fic A little bit harder now, AO3's notastranger's Very Fluffy fic Your Inner Child Deserves Pancakes, AO3's Curasha's fic (inspired by a @disterra comic) Thank You Kisses, @bleachblondemenace's sweet WIP A Need too Deep, @walker-walker-fashion-baby's soooooo soft Walker, Walker, Fashion Baby!, and AO3's McPasstel's (super fucking hot) Give It To Me Straight . I was seriously so, so mad they wouldn't let me keep these, you have no idea, guys I SENT SOME STRONGLY ASS WORDED EMAILS lmao

Every single one of these fics means the world to me. I mean it, including the ones mentioned in #4, I've read all of these fics AT LEAST fifteen times, if not more. I highly, highly recommend these works and the lovely people who worked so hard to make them.

Yes, my professor had to read all of these. Yes, I made them read about premature ejaculation, and dry humping, and A/B/O cowboys. Yes, this is the best thing to ever happen to me.

I have a speech I had to write as well, but it's kind of cheesy (I get so emotional about John), so i'm not going to post it, unless people end up wanting to see it lmao

I don't know if all of these authors have a tumblr, but i'm going to do my best to tag the ones I'm aware of here, so that they can see the academic data taken on their work! If you're included in this, and you're unhappy about LITERALLY ANYTHING i will change it immediately and/or remove it. I made this for a grade, but it also came from a deep place of love and respect for this community, and I never want to offend any of you guys <3
