Despite its small, adorable appearance, Shortmon here is a Champion/Adult level Digimon! With a head made of strawberry shortcake, Shortmon itself dreams of being a first-class pastry chef and uses the data on cakes that flows into the Digital World every day to help it practice its skills.

Aside from wanting to open a cake shop where Digimon can all enjoy cake peacefully (troublemakers will be driven away via giant fork), an entourage of Shortmon are often seen accompanying the Ultimate/Perfect level Digimon Weddinmon and will help her make giant cakes for her celebrations. But if trouble arises that Weddinmon or her Shortmon can't solve seperately, they can fuse together (along with a Candlemon) to form..... uh.... whatever this is.

Tumblr is rolling out a new reblog/notes system that completely disregards creators. In their new system, they're taking a twitter-style approach where reblogs will have their own notes that DO NOT contribute to the original post's notes.

Because of this, creators will no longer be able to see an accurate display of likes/reblogs/etc. This is completely altering the way feedback and responses to works are going to be received on this website.

If you come across a fan work that you enjoy, please take the extra step to go to OPs original post, and leave your comment/like/reblog there. Or go one step further and send an ask to OP directly to tell them what you liked!

I really hope Tumblr staff reverses course and reverts to the original reblog system for the sake of the large base of creators who use this site to share their works, but until then, please be considerate and make sure the creators here see/feel the love.

It's been a while, but April Fool's stops for no one!

I'd recently gotten a new computer and hadn't had the chance to do much art on it until now, so what better Digimon to use for my first drawing here than DORUmon, a Rookie thought to be a "Prototype Digimon" thanks to the old Digicore Interface on its head!

This assumption is further backed up by its name, as "DORU" is an acronym for "Digital OR Unknown Monsters", meaning it was probably one of the first Digimon discovered and/or created. Apparently the amount of combat related data in DORUmon is so high, it often bites at everything, which might just help it unlock the potential within itself through battle...

Alright, I've got some updates! I did do more work on Hisuian Decidueye today, and I will be posting more detailed updates every time I manage to work on it.

...Which, uh, brings me to the second point. This has easily been the worst year of my life, and terrible things have been happening very frequently IRL to the point where it's been hard to get back to daily drawing and updates.

So I think I'd better officially state that daily updates aren't really a thing anymore (I mean, they haven't been for a while), and they'll likely resume once morale improves. Sorry about that!

Doodledex - #713-A Hisuian Avalugg

Considering that Hokkaido is actually at a higher latitude than France (and as a result, Sinnoh/Hisui is higher up than Kalos), you would think that the Avalugg here wouldn't look too much different thanks to the colder climate. And yet, Hisuian Avalugg are actually smaller, lighter, and have way less ice on their bodies! (Put some clothes on this beast!)

Since this Avalugg's body isn't strong enough to stride through deep snow unassisted, its lower jaw has gained an iron structure resembling a snow plow, allowing it to plow through snowfields and create its own paths! You would think that this would make it a Steel type.... but nope! Apparently Hisuian Avalugg's naked body is enough for it to be an Ice/Rock type instead of Ice/Steel. (...But seriously, give it some damn clothes!)
