The Chipmunks are here! All of their iterations are iconic and I love them, but for this reimagining I decided to lean towards their 2000s “live action” designs which lean the most towards looking like real chipmunks. But of course with some additional touches to set them apart from each other! I’d say Theodore is especially rocking that era’s styles. Aren’t they the coolest guys around? ❤️💙💚

Koyuki: Jolly! Loves super sweet treats! Her favorite is pecha berries and peaches

Sumire: Adamant! She prefers very spicy food. Her favorite foods are spicy noodles and curry

Pochi: Mild! More fresh and neutral flavors. A good balance of taste, but a soft spot for salty delights, such as fries and bacon.

Sirius: Rash! He also prefers neutral flavors, a favorite being simply white bread. Ironically, his least favorite flavor would be bitter. But I wanted to draw the Bitter Five Star donut so he can suck it up. Pretend Pochi stole his Fresh donut.

The Black and White anime may have had its flaws but my favorite part about the ending is all three of those kids got so pumped over so many episodes to see Kanto and they finally get there and Cilan and Iris immediately wanted to leave

so important to remember coconut curry exists

Basic Coconut Curry

dice and sautee a bunch of (red or white) onions, garlic, & ginger

add choice of protein

add choice of veggies

add broth, coconut milk, and curry spice mix

cook on low heat 20 min

add sugar, salt, pepper, and lime juice (optional)

serve with rice or flatbread

BOOM. curry. never kill yourself

This is almost exactly how I make it, but if you wanna add some extra oomph without getting too fancy, I also toast the curry spice mix in sesame oil before adding the coconut milk. Toast it until it looks like the spice mix is excreting its own oil, add and mix in a bit of water and then wait for it to evaporate, and repeat that once or twice. Takes about 5 minutes and deepens the flavor a bit if you wanna try it. I think it's called blooming the spices?
