Hello (bark) from Mr. Mart. Do your assignments, he says.
Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and it's better to be
absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.
“I’ve gotten used to ignoring them and I think, as a result, they’ve kind of given up on me. I think that’s what it’s like with all our dreams and our nightmares, Martin, we’ve got to keep feeding them for them to stay alive.”
- John Forbes Nash.
"It's not the end of the world" I tell myself. "It's not. It's saddening but not the end. Not yet." For the fifth time in the last 10 minutes as I fight back hundreds of thoughts and thousands of emotions.
What's next isn't predictable. What's next isn't anticipated. What's next isn't in light. What's next isn't a hope. Not anymore.
"It's not the end of the world", 6th time now. "But it sure as hell feels like it's the end of me."
"How do you do it?" She asked.
We were at a tiny cafe in Delhi, filled with conversations and laughter, a group of old school friends meeting after years.
Do what, I thought.
"This. Flashing this smile, ear to ear. Squinting, like nothing's wrong. Laughing, like you're not stopping yourself from telling them how they've troubled you all this while. Toasting, like you can't wait to get out of here, like you did back in school. No, stop. Stop making promises to meet again. Stop telling them you miss school. Give in to the urge of looking at your watch. Walk out, walk away.
Socialising isn't our cup of tea anyway."
A happy little accident
From The Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater.
Friendships are often complicated by us, it’s saddening.
People will stab you in the back and then ask you why you're bleeding.
Sky gazing is a pretty hobby💜
