These are illustrations from the book Bonnie’s First Day of School, which is set after Toy Story 4. It takes place on her actual first day of kindergarten, with Forky going to school with her and helping out throughout the day.

This is one of my absolute favorites of the new books, because Buzz and Jessie totally seem to have a parental role going on with Forky here, and I LOVE it. It kinda goes back to this scene from the movie...

And it does make sense, that they’d take on “raising” him in Woody’s absence. He’s truly child-like, and needs guidance more than any other toy. It’s a natural progression in Buzz and Jessie’s relationship, too.

It might be nothing, and this might not be the actual direction they go with in Forky Asks A Question - we might see that all the toys have just sort of taken him under their collective wing. We’ll have to wait and see. But I adore the idea of this little spork family. ❤️💚
