News Flash Muslim tumbloggers. Tumblr isn't life it's only temporary. The people over the internet won't give you lasting fufilment. Everyone's life isn't always amazing. And Shaytaan is definitely trying to bring you down. And no there won't ever be a moment where He's not trying to do that.

Seek help with Allah who is stable and eternal. I used to be a firm believer that mental illness is not curable with Islam. That load of crap is definitely a ploy from Shaytaan. Come at me with science I'll come at you with the creator of science. Don't wait till Yawmul Qiyaamah to beleive me. Surah An-Naba, Verse 39: ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الْحَقُّ فَمَن شَاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ مَآبًا That is without doubt the True Day, so, whosoever wills, let him seek a place with (or a way to) His Lord (by obeying Him in this worldly life)! Muslim people, I'm calling you out on your mess. If you really, truly, and honestly believe Allah the creator and orginator of All things that exist and you really know that He can do any and everything, best believe He can take away your mental illness. It's not impossible for Him. He split a fricken Ocean, and destroyed a whole army with birds and stones. Surah At-Takathur, Verse 2-4: حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَ Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ Nay! You shall come to know! ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ Again, Nay! You shall come to know! We not Quoting Surah Baqara or A'raaf over here these are the short ones. Some of you aren't internalizing the Quraan and it shows. Don't fake it till you make it, that stuff doesn't work with Islam. You've been granted mercy by being alive today. By having a chance to know before you actually KNOW the type of Muslim you are is messed up. I don't nknow who needs to hear this but Shaytan knows we are dumb enough to think we have time. We have time to delay salah, apologize to those we hurt. We think we have time to look for a excuses or become the next genius in a secular field. We got time to live up our youth. Shaytan on some real shady stuff and he's had from the beginning of Mankind to learn how we think. Excuse my hood language but, Outsmart that nigga. Wooh now if you'll excuse me. May Allāh ʿazza-wa-jal make us from amongst the huffāẓ and make our children from amongst the huffāẓ and may the love for the Qurʾān never leave our hearts, Allāhumma Āmīn.

Of course. There’s a reason why it is highly stressed to see the person you are inclined to marry before moving to signing the contract.

Some of the Muslims have gone to extremes with this “looks don’t matter” sentiment. Beware of being extreme. Deen is the most important affair but how good will a marriage be if one party is repulsed by the other? How will you lower your gaze if you have to “force” yourself to be near the person you’re supposed to share a bed with and/or have children with!?

Beware of extremism in all its forms.

Abu Hurayrah (radiyAllahu Anhu) narrated the the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said “A woman is married for four things: her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion. So you should marry the religious woman (otherwise) you will be unsuccessful.” (Book #62, Hadith #27)

From Abu Hurayrah: “I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) when a man came and told him that he had married a woman of the Ansaar. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to him, ‘Have you seen her?’ He said, ‘No.’ He said, ‘Go and look at her, for there is something in the eyes of the Ansaar.” (Reported by Muslim, no. 1424; and by al-Daaraqutni, 3/253 (34))

From al-Mugheerah ibn Shu’bah: “I proposed marriage to a woman, and the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Have you seen her?’ I said, ‘No.’ He said, ‘Look at her, because it is more fitting that love and compatibility be established between you.’” According to another report: “So he did that, and he married her and mentioned that they got along.” (Reported by al-Daaraqutni, 3/252 (31, 32); Ibn Maajah, 1/574)
