On Monday, Valentino’s creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli are receiving the International Award at the prestigious CFDA Awards (basically the Oscars of fashion). What better way to help them celebrate than a shout out for their cool designs!

The print on these booties was a collaborative effort between the duo and British textile designer Celia Birtwell, who is famous for her bold and romantic motifs. Chiuri and Piccioli’s recent Pre-Fall collection features the fanciful brocade in the form of dresses, skirts, tops, and of course, accessories. The gowns at the Cannes Film Festival are one thing, but the jewels? The ladies of the French Riviera (even the ones imported from Hollywood) are not messing around with their jewelry. Brands like Chopard and Cartier have opened their vaults and let some of the world’s most expensive jewelry flow. Seriously, we’ve seen necklaces and earrings worth more than some country’s GDP. Specifically, let’s talk about this piece of outstanding beauty from Dior Fine Jewelry.

In 2014, Dior’s Artistic Director of Fine Jewelry, Victoire de Castellane, reimagined Christian Dior’s famous haute couture pieces. The results included this cuff, also known as the Bar en Corolle Emeraude bracelet, which is meant to look like Dior’s famous Bar jacket from 1948 (the diamond band represents the nipped silhouette of the iconic Dior jacket). Made of diamonds, pink and purple sapphires and emeralds garnets, the exact price of this cuff is price upon request (obviously), but the collection is rumored to be between $380,000 and $3.15M. How This 1920s Sneaker Became 2015's Summer Must-Have

Ever heard of the brand Feiyue? If not, you’re about to. There’s no sign of the sneaker craze slowing down, meaning there’s plenty of room in your closet alongside your Vans slip-ons and Adidas Stan Smiths.  

Originally a lightweight canvas plimsoll shoe from Shanghai from the 1920s, Feiyues were the footwear of choice for workers and politicians. Fast forward to 2006 and the brand was going out of business. Luckily, two French sneaker heads, Patrice Bastian and Nicolas Seguy, massive fans of the brand, visited the factory and bought the company on the spot.

Bastian and Seguy have transformed what was once the footwear of choice for communist China into a fashion must-have by partnering with the coolest fashion label on the block—Celine. Though the collaboration promptly sold out (they can be spotted on the feet of Poppy Delevigne, Miranda Kerr, and Emily Ratajkowski) the label finally launched in USA this week, and it looks they’ll be the summer’s must have for guys, girls, and even kids (seriously, their kids collection is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time).

Collaboration of the Week: Soludos x Wren

When the sun comes out and Memorial Day is around the corner, all I can think about is vacation time! This week’s collaboration is the love child of LA-based clothing company WREN—a favorite of style stars like Kirsten Dunst and Alexa Chung—and everyone’s favorite espadrille label, Soludos. Together, they’ve whipped up the only shoe I’ll need in Portugal. Two silhouettes—their classic platform smoking slipper and tie on sandals—come in red, white, and blue batik prints handmade in India using a traditional wax-resist dyeing process, meaning no two shoes have the exact same print. Collaboration Of The Week: Rachel Antonoff  x &Other Stories

Fans of Rachel Antonoff’s brand of quirky feminine separates and frocks are in for a special treat. In honor of her upcoming collaboration with & Other Stories, the designer tapped her pseudo sister-in-law Lena Dunham (who dates Antonoff’s brother, Jack) to write and direct Vote Audrey, a short film that stars Zoe Kazan as a young woman with political aspirations. The feel-good film (undoubtedly named for Dunham’s BFF Audrey Gelman who worked for Manhattan borough president Scott Stringer) is rooted in girl power and cute clothing — two of Dunham’s favorite themes. It couldn’t be better timed either, with Hillary Clinton on the campaign circuit and plenty of budding female politicians out there, new blouses, dressed, and jackets are needed to drum up votes. How to Turn Pants Black Tie Appropriate

Celebs at the Met Gala on Monday might have worn more sheer and (let’s face it) naked dresses on the red carpet than I would have liked (here’s looking at you Kim K., J.Lo, and Beyoncé!). Ladies of Orange County, rejoice! The Chanel boutique at South Cost Plaza has gotten a makeover and is back in business. No need to fly to Paris to visit the Rue Cambon store when you just need the new Cométe ring or a little black jacket.

Peter Marino, Chanel’s leather-clad architect, transformed the 9,000 square foot store to house the brand’s ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, costume and fine jewelry, watches and accessories – the whole Chanel universe! Inspired by the sea, the store is calm with wave motifs, pearlescent finishes and ocean blues and greens mixed with Chanel’s iconic black, white, and gold colors, reflected in bespoke fabrics making their debut at the store.  

To celebrate the reopening, the Mademoiselle Privé Camélia watch will launch exclusively at the South Coast Plaza. In addition, there will be a selection of Haute Horlogerie pieces, including a diamond and pink sapphire Mademoiselle Privé Camélia, and  a Mademoiselle Privé Camélia Tourbillon. Do you need any more reasons to visit the store? I think not!

When Prada presents something, we sit up and take note. For Spring 2015, the brand is launching a special women’s ready-to-wear collection exploring different shades of white. Collaboration of the Week: Matchesfashion.com X Mary Katrantzou

“I have too many handbags”, said no woman ever. This edition of Collaboration of the Week goes to one of Yahoo Style’s favorite online stores, Matchesfashion.com, and British designer, Mary Katrantzou. Taking inspiration from Katrantzou’s Resort 15 collection, the retailer worked closely with the designer to create 26 exclusive tote bags. Each bag is decorated with a letter of the alphabet and is gorgeously adorned with Katrantzou’s signature prints including zebras and mountainous sea views. There are only 20 bags per design to get to clacking those fingers on the keyboard to get one asap.
