Dorian Morris || 26 || Waiter at Curious-Tea Cafe || TAKEN
Character: The Dormouse | Alice in Wonderland
Growing up as the middle in a family of three, he was never really motivated to do much. His younger sister got all the oh how sweet! comments. And his brother got all the glory, being a football player. So, Dorian did the thing he knew best, be kind to others. Though, he was smart, he didn’t have the best grades, that was his sister. And athletics was his brother. But he was nice. He got by, he never really needed more. He was happy not to disappoint his parents, even if he wasn’t a trophy. He didn’t wish to take the glory his siblings got either. He was content with making them happy.
He befriended a boy named Thatcher in high school, a young man who was very enthusiastic, rather the opposite of Dorian’s usual demeanor. He encouraged the mouse to try, and brought out a side of Dori that not many saw. The brave side. He was still shy when it came to people, but he’d defend anyone who spoke ill of his family (for, football stars only had so many fans.) or his friends. If you dared call Thatcher crazy, or weird around Dorian well, you’d soon hear a thousand reasons why he wasn’t be greeted with a glare from his best friend.
When Thatcher was offered a job, Dori was proud of him, and even more happy when he too was offered a job of waiter. Yet again pleased when their other friend from school became a regular customer. The boys would personally deliver the order to the reclusive Hatter, stay for a chat before going on their way. The boys were nearly inseparable, especially when the three of them got talking, an boy could hey talk for hours about nothing in particular really. They just talked. Jefferson usually making the tea and the three would sit around his table and talk. His life may revolve more around tea than more, but he’s never minded and still enjoys it to this day.
Dorian has no memory of his life as a mouse, or Wonderland. He does, however enjoy tea, and jam has always calmed him. However, he’s convinced it’s because his mother always makes homemade jam and he grew up enjoying it.
