Blurb- Some people live in the darkness because they have no choice. Others welcome the darkness like it were an old lost friend
Chapter1- Stories
āMany stories have been told over the years of a goddess whom used to walk the land. They say her beauty was unlike any other. Man or Women would fall madly in love with the goddess at first sight. They called her āSeikatsu Megami.ā (Life Godess) Quite a fitting name it was for her too. You see anything she touched would come to life. Some even would go as far as to say she is the creator of you and me and the world we live in.ā My grandma would say as she told me countless stories of āSeikatsu Metami.ā And all the things she did for us. I used to look forward to my visit because of her stories. Clinging on to her every word as if it was my own breath.
When she spoke it was Alanās it as if she was the godess form the story. Bringing life to each new character with only her words. She would tell all sorts of stories with each visit. The last one she told me was of two lovers. A tragic story where one lover was betray by fate. āOne day when the sun at its highest in the sky āSeikatsuā went for a walk. With each step she took in the deep green woods a trail of flowers would appear. A smile came across her face as she spun around admiring the beauty of the world she had created and all those who lived in it. With one swift motion she sat down near a lake looking more like a princess then a godess now. She peered over and into the water waving at the little fish as they swam by. Humming softly as she watched them and the birds that flew by she brushed a strand of golden sun kissed hair behind her ear.
Unknown to her though she was not alone. The figure of a tall dark man stood behind her hiding in the shadows as he watched her with a longing stare. He didnāt want to hurt her only get close to the beautiful godess. He smiled a little as he watched her speak with the nature around her. He enevyed her powers as he clutched his chest with a boney hand wishing the aching feeling in his ribs would go away. It wasnāt fair who he should be made to do nothing but kill the creations that she made and cared for so deeply. This mans power was cruel and mean yes but it was also quite beautiful in some ways. With each life he took he would leave a small gift behind for life to show that he really felt sorrow when taking them away. His name was āShi Kamiā.(Death God) Unlike āSeikatsuā who was beloved by all for her power to creat and her natural beauty that surpassesd all...Shi was hated and shunned. Out cast to the shadows where he would spend his days alone and hurt. The two worked together yes but there paths should have never crossed.ā My grandma went on into the story. How ever that very same night after starting the story. A man came to visit to the quite sleeping village and my grandmas house as well. She was not afraid I like to imagine when she came face to face with āShiā I like to think she embraced him tightly and gave him a smile as she took his hand and left. The two of them leaving in the night and going deep back into the woods with out a word. Leaving all her loved ones to rest at peace knowing that she was not scared or in pain when death came to knock at her door at last.
