it's really funny how in almost every fandom I prefer either old versions of things (like with btd or with one russian book nobody heard about) or unfinished drafts of original plot (demonheart, asoiaf) or these drafts itself (van buren, ea version of bg3).

i don't know why, it just happens almost everywhere. partly, i think, because in most release versions authors have to think about their game (or book, or film) being sold and them having money from it, so they soften many things, while in concepts they can be truly unhinged. plus some basic rules, that can be ignored in concepts, but has to be remembered when making final version

anyway, i am doomed, i love grimdark shit and can't even explain it properly
