Double Shot Cafe

Hello, Harry Watson here. Never ever call me Harriet. I am 30 and the owner of a rather famous cafe in London, Maybe you've heard of it The Double Shot, stop in and grab a bite or help yourself to a pint. I can be found there or with my friends.

I think that it’s important to talk to someone, anyone. IF there is NO one in your personal life you can turn to if you’re scared, hurt, confused about what happened on Tuesday. I’m here, I’m willing to listen. Love will Triumph maybe not right away but it will and you matter, and you’re valid. What you’re feeling is valid. So to all my followers, mutuals and friends. I’m here if you need a friend or someone to just tell you that you’re awesome.

Harry sipped her own coffee and smiled at Irene. Irene was probably her favorite regular, she’d been coming to the Double Shot for almost two years now. She was always so sweet and kind, if not a bit cheeky. “I’m sure you’ll look wonderful.”

“Really?” She turned her head quickly around as though looking for anyone who would have caught her. Turning back to Irene she leaned closer, “Don’t be to loud about it, the world might just catch on.” Winking she pulled back and looked Irene up and down. “Well I’ve found that the comfiest clothes are the best to dance in.”

Irene did her best to hide the smile, brought on by Harry’s words, settling with a pleased and knowing smirk. “Let’s hope the world is less clever than I am,” she added fondly and took a sip of her tea. “I think that kind of dancing is best done at home. That’s not what I’m looking for - not at first.”

Harry winked at one of her regulars as they came up to the counter and picked up their order. Smiling back at Irene, she looked down at her own 2,000 dollar dress and heels. Harry hummed and looked at Irene again, “Oh I know the world isn’t as clever as you. Well this dress isn’t only for inside dancing, but it is really comfortable.”

One day I just want to be the one people stay around for...being the one who gets left behind is always hardest...

“Oh that’s right,” she smiled and gestured to her manager to take care of the cafe as she flirted. Smiling at Irene she quirked an eyebrow. “Oh darling, if the hall was open now I’d take you dancing now you look great.”

“You’re flirting miss Watson,” Irene teased easily. She had been coming to Harry’s café for weeks now and always left with a smile on her lips and the need to return soon. “I’m dressed for comfort, not for dancing.”

“Really?” She turned her head quickly around as though looking for anyone who would have caught her. Turning back to Irene she leaned closer, “Don’t be to loud about it, the world might just catch on.” Winking she pulled back and looked Irene up and down. “Well I’ve found that the comfiest clothes are the best to dance in.”

“Oh, I don’t mind being led when it involves dancing,” Irene said with a thankful smile and wrapped her fingers around the cup of coffee. “And Harry? I expect to be wooed,” she added teasingly.

Harry smiled at Irene and shrugged. “Thank god, I’ve never been very good at following other people.” She handed a coffee off to another customer and smiled at Irene. “I thought you didn’t date luv?” Winking she leaned on the counter.

“I don’t date,” Irene repeated, but smiled at Harry. Now she wished she had taken a seat closer her. “Seven, you said? I should be getting home. I need ages to get ready.”

“Oh that’s right,” she smiled and gestured to her manager to take care of the cafe as she flirted. Smiling at Irene she quirked an eyebrow. “Oh darling, if the hall was open now I’d take you dancing now you look great.”

“Woah, I’m asking you out to dance, I never said anything about going on more dates, in fact did I ask you to go steady with me? I just figured you might like a night out with a beautiful lady who knows how to tango.”

“I just.” Irene paused to gather her thoughts. She wasn’t used to people being this open and bossy around her. “I do love to dance.”

“I’ll pick you up at seven and don’t worry I’ll let you lead the Tango, I know how you like to be in charge.” She winked at Irene and handed her the coffee she’d ordered.

“What? I figure you haven’t been asked to a proper date in a long time. I think you’re gorgeous and I’d love to take you dancing.”

Harry swallowed and thought about the schedule for the cafe for the next week or so. “I think I can swing Friday, Saturday and Sunday, this week. Jesse and Mark are running the kitchen for me. I have to be back Sunday night to get a shipment in on Monday for the cafe.” she said taking another bite of chicken and broccoli.

“Oh that would be perfect my love. I already have Saturday and Sunday off and I can either beg off Friday or swap shifts for another day another week. Either way I am more then able to go this weekend coming. ” Molly smiled brightly at Harry before gently kissing her cheek before moving back to her food. “So where do you think we should go ?”

Harry smiled and pulled out her phone. “Wanna go to Italy, we can stay at the villa in Capri.” She said softly looking at flight prices and then back at Molly “Unless you don’t want to go to Italy, but I only own the one villa and it’s private and close to great food.” she murmured looking at her girlfriend quietly.

Molly smiled and promptly pressed a deep kiss onto her girlfriends lips, grinning widely.

“Italy would be perfect, delicious food, beautiful landscape and gorgeous company… I just wish we could leave right now as I want you all to myself right now.

Letting out a huge yawn, Molly frowned and tried to stifle the next yawn to come to her mouth and completely failed.

“Although I could just take you to bed with me right now, if you are finished eating that is .”

Harry smiled at her precious angel of a girlfriend and shook her head. She looked at her girlfriend yawning and excited to get upstairs and do some other fun things. 

She chuckled as Molly started yawning in earnest and looked at Molly with a raised eyebrow. “Darling you are falling asleep sitting on the couch.” 

At Molly’s comment about her being done eating, Harry looked at her container and shook her head laughing. “Darling I’ve barely started on my meal.”
