- Bridget Jones's Diary
After everything that is happening in the U.K., I wanted to make a post sending my regards to those who lost their family members in the terror attacks. This is a time to stand together and stay strong and I want everyone to know this. I need multiple pictures of your fursona with a flower crown of white flowers to represent peace, with the U.K. flag behind them in the shape of a heart. Draw as many as you want, they will all be added into a large post about the attacks and the families affected. Let's show that we all are praying for recovery and safety. Please color them if possible, digital or traditional, cut or not, please.
Tears are falling, hearts are breaking, O how we need to hear from God.
You've been promised, we've been waiting.
Welcome Holy Child!
Fragile finger sent to heal us, tender brow prepared for thorn.
Tiny heart whose blood will save us! Unto us is born, O perfect Son of God!
- Lyrics from "Welcome to Our World" by Chris Rice
Chapter 2: Don’t Leave
“I don’t know. I don’t even know if I’m still dreaming,” she answered, approaching him. “It seems real, and I want to believe it is, but every ounce of my logical mind is telling me that I’m imagining it.”
“If you are, then so am I, and I refuse to be thought of as an imagination,” he stated, glancing away.
She held back a tiny smile, seeing his frustration was something she was accustomed to. He showed it on rare occasions when a case was not coming out the way he hoped or was beyond logic. She couldn’t blame him. This was absolutely unreal, something she never dreamed would happen or that it could.
“What happened to me after the phone call?”
Molly swallowed; her eyes saddened and shifted down. “You disappeared. We don’t know what happened. I heard something…a thump, and I called out to you but the call ended,” she answered, wrapping her arms around her person. “Mycroft tried to track the GPS on your phone, but it’s been disabled. We don’t know where you are.”
His body drooped. “I was by the Thames, close to London Bridge.”
“We know, but that’s as far as we’ve gotten. John and Mycroft are searching, but I couldn’t.”
His eyes saw the pain on her face. The tears streaking down her cheeks. “I’m sorry.”
“For what?”
“For putting you through this.”
She stepped closer, reading the lines in the shadows and raised her hand. She wanted to touch him. To feel him, but the moment her hand touched the briefest shadow of his cheek, an electric charge coursed through her arm, shocking her. She wanted to jerk back, but the burn barely registered as the charge disappeared and a cool air touched her skin.
She was touching him. His eyes closed in relief. She could touch him. Though, it didn’t feel like skin on skin. It was something even more. A vapor or a gust of wind. He wasn’t sure and neither was she.
She stroked his cheek, feeling the cool air warm with each stroke. The shadows around him diminished, lighting his body with each passing touch. “I should be scared, shouldn’t I?”
His eyes faded into a tender light. “Yes.”
“But I’m not,” she whispered, breathlessly. “I don’t know why, but I’m not scared. I can’t be scared of you.”
Open up your heart,
and just let it begin...
