Nintendo has announced plans to bring their anytime, anywhere motto to life in a big way with the Nintendo Switch Road Trip. Beginning on June 26th in Chicago, IL, the Nintendo Switch Road Trip will bring game demos, photo opportunities, activities, and more to 11 cities around the country.

You can see the full schedule on the official site to find out when and where you can get your hands on some of the hottest Nintendo Switch titles like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Pokémon Let’s Go: Pikachu and Eevee!, Splatoon 2, and Super Mario Maker 2, among others.

My Nintendo members will also be able to scan their My Nintendo QR Code at the event to receive a free gift while supplies last. At similar events, Nintendo has distributed My Nintendo pins, water bottles, cleaning cloths, and other exclusive items, so if you’re heading to an event, be sure to keep your QR Code handy.

Hallmark has announced, via it’s 2019 Dream Book, that four new Nintendo Keepsake Ornaments featuring characters from the Super Mario series will be making their debut at stores later this year.

Bowser and Princess Peach ornaments will be available on July 13th, with Mario and Piranha Plant joining the line later on October 5th. You can see the ornaments in all of their glory in the images below, and check back for more information on these adorable decorations!

This is the third year that Nintendo has released official ornaments through Hallmark, with the series kicking off in 2017 with the release of Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi ornaments.   While it’s certainly exciting to see these four new ornaments, this year’s selection is slightly narrower in focus than last year’s more diverse range which featured Mario from Mario Kart, Link from The Legend of Zelda, and a Donkey Kong arcade cabinet — complete with lights and game sounds.

Nintendo has announced that two massively popular Nintendo Switch titles will be receiving free updates to incorporate the upcoming Nintendo Labo VR Kit, which is scheduled for release on April 12th. The free updates are expected to release on April 25th and will bring new ways to enjoy Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, to varying degrees. Players who pick up the VR Kit will be able to enjoy bite-sized VR experiences in Super Mario Odyssey‘s Cap, Seaside, and Luncheon Kingdoms. These adventures will offer players a new perspective as they collect coins, music notes, and explore these three areas in virtual reality.

Following the update, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will allow players to virtually experience Hyrule in its entirety. Once the update has released, players can toggle VR support on or off through the settings menu without having to start a new save file to introduce support. That’s right, you can carry on exploring, searching for hidden Koroks, and battling enemies — in VR!

Both updates will only require the Labo VR Goggles, meaning both the VR Toy-Con Kit: Starter Set+Blaster and the Toy-Con VR Kit will feature the Toy-Con needed for players to enjoy new ways to play some of their favorite games.

The Nintendo Labo Toy-Con Kit: Starter Set+Blaster and the Toy-Con VR Kit will release on April 12th for $39.99 (USD) and $79.99 (USD) respectively. For more on Nintendo Labo,  check out the official website!

The Pokémon Company has announced two new core entries in its main Pokémon series, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be coming to Nintendo Switch later this year. Both titles will see a simultaneous release which will allow Trainers everywhere to explore a brand new region, meet and catch new Pokémon, and experience the first mainline Pokémon game ever on a home console at the same time. Set in the Galar region, heavily inspired by locations around the UK, Pokémon trainers will be able to once again battle in gyms, encounter and battle wild Pokémon, and uncover the many stories waiting in the region’s beautiful, sweeping countrysides, harsh mountains, and contemporary cities.

  Along with three selectable partner Pokémon, Trainers will set out on a new adventure to once again become the very best like no one ever was. Choose from the energetic Fire-type bunny starter, Scorbunny, the anxious Water-type water lizard, Sobble, or the rambunctious Grass-type monkey starter, Grookey!
