He smiled back appreciatively towards her, and even though it felt all wrong, it was also so right. He knew this was the only way things would ever turn out right, and frankly, there wasnât another plan he had in mind. In fact, if things hadnât gone according to his plan perfectly, he felt like he would have failed, and he didnât want to live with that behind him. So, after he receiving the baby once more, he placed her in a crib, something that he had one of the scientists retrieve for him, along with other necessary equipment to take care of the child while the plans had been put into action.
With Aurora gone, he finished everything he needed to do, ready to leave at a momentâs notice, and ready to regain the reputation they had lost as Dougals. He had his new family, with the two original remaining members in the clan going along for the ride, along with the replacements, treated as such, and would never fill in the shoes of Orion and Akron, but for now, would get the job done.Â
Once everything was complete, he spotted Aurora in the jaw-dropping red dress, his personal favorite on her, and he was more than ready to rip it off of her too. Licking his lips as she spoke, his eyes undressed her as the material clung to every curve of her body. âFuck.â He muttered, feeling a warm sensation run all over him. âAurora. You look absolutely beautiful.â
She smiled at him, almost lovingly so. She had her seductive act on but her heart was grieving. Not only for Tatiana but for all three of her brothers. Whom in her eyes, she had already all three lost. She grieved for her family. She grieved for their youth. She grieved for the horrors they had to endure. She grieved for the people they had become.Â
The way he looked at her was so familiar, it almost made her homesick. Maybe ignorance was bliss. People learned to love their chains. Wouldnât it have been better to have lived a life with him, unknowing of the truth...All four of them together. A baby to care of. Money to spend. Their love to share. The world to rule. It certainly seemed like the easier option at this point but that had been before Zadrian had killed the one she had loved.
She walked towards him. Knowing they had to be close for the next part. She wanted him to lose himself in her. Partly for her distraction to work, partly because maybe deep down she granted him one last kindness. Even after everything.Â
She grabbed him fiercely, her hand in his neck and pressed her lips on his. Kissing him passionately. Once she had wanted nothing more than these lips, now she noticed that kissing them felt like a goodbye, She was so very aware that this would be the last time she would ever kiss him.
