Ted paused for a moment and stared at her, rather confused, until he figured out what was going on. Travelling had messed up his sleeping routine, and it was a bit of a problem.

“Oh! Oh, no, ma’am, Bonnie Parker, for theft, murder, and resisting arrest. Unless you’ve done something like that, I’m pretty sure you’re in the clear. And, ah, yes, Deputy Ted Hinton. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Miss Bonnie.”

That was a relief. Thinking back on it, she had heard of it once or twice, perhaps, it sounded  vaguely familiar. She should’ve known at first...

“Thank god.” she laughed, clearly relieved. “I haven’t done anything like that, not to my  knowledge. It’s nice to meet you too, Mr. Hinton, sir, I’m Bonnie Douglas. Not Parker, I’m afraid.”
